The cheap ones are the ones that scare me :) - The fda has found some traces of stuff in a few companies already.

(still not as bad as cigs).

Actually just caught Dr. Dean O'dell (or however you spell it -- the am talk show doctor guy) talking about e-cigs. Sounds like he's all for them since there isn't much as bad for you as a real cigarette :)

They are going to get regulated soon - guarantee it. But I think the reputable companies will still be here with the proper disclaimers.

I think using a water hooka is better for you than smoking or e ciggs ??

lolno, it's much, much worse. Water doesn't really filter much out of the smoke, and you get much more nicotine per puff than with most any other source.
 
So I bought a Luci monday and got it yesterday - huge plus.

I got the starter kit + some additional cartridges, all menthol high nicotine.

Right now I gotta say I'm not too impressed, at least with Luci's cartridges. Being a Newport smoker a big thing about smoking I like is the throat hit and the strong nicotine effects. It takes 4-5 hits to get the same feeling as one normal cig hit and there is about the same amount of throat hit you get from smoking a non-menthol light cig, which is almost nothing.

Other than that I think its amazingly useful to smoke when you're at home and don't like smelling up your crib or when you're at the office where you can't smoke.

After hearing some great things about the tecc 510 I just bought it from TECC-510 Titan Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit - White Dual Atomiser Kits. and am going to buy drip bottles from that site as well.

Apparently dripping a Luci or any other ecig with an automatic battery runs the risk of flooding the battery. That's why I'm getting the kit with manual batteries on the 510.

Still better than a regular cigarette filters out a lil more, and at the very least you don't have piping hot tar hitting your lungs. Also hookah tobacco doesn't come with the same shit as ciggies. If you took a cigarette and then smushed it up into the top of a hookah then you'd have a better argument :D
 
i actually use the blucigs. I'm really impressed with them, they're everything they say they are and for me at least they've been a perfect substitution to regular cigs.

That's good to know Matt - I smoked lights and they seem about the same to me.

I'll check out the Titan - actually I think one of the "dripping" kits would be an awesome "second sell" - Luci converts great, but I haven't had the same conversions with other systems. Blu looks good too - probably on par with the conversions.

Site appearance here seems to really matter - at least with the type of traffic I'm bringing in to my sites.
 
Those things are surreal. Eli let me try out one of his.

That's crazy about smoking them in public places and no smoking areas. Can you imagine kids smoking them in schools? (although there may be a ban due to the nicotine?) If it's legal people could make a shit load selling this to kids. And They should be sold in airports too.

Yep.

Basically the e-cig part is just an atomizer (think a hot metal coil). The cartridges have liquid nicotine in them.

The atomizer gets hot - evaporates the nicotine - you inhale.

It's actually not "hot".

Lot's of people say the "hits" aren't as strong as regular cigarettes and they aren't. But you aren't breathing in a camp fire either :) Normal cigs have tons of toxins and carcinogens in them. Worst case scenario with the e-cigs you have a few chemicals in them that are alrady in your normal smokes.

After a few weeks you'll feel great if you have been a heavy smoker for a long time. It's "almost" like quitting with out all the crap withdrawals.

Cheaper no matter how you look at it.

I DO recommend you stick with a U.S. supplier. Some of the cheapo's out of china has god knows what in it. To be honest, half the folks in the U.S. are using chinese made crap anyway -- but your a little safer.
 
Just got my titan this morning as well as the 30ml of nicotine and several empty cartridges I ordered.

Have been smoking it all day and absolutely love it. I'm probably not going to even look at the luci again. the amount of smoke, the throat hit, and the feeling of nicotine hitting you is pretty close to a real cig where the luci is just... crap in my opinion when comparing these 2 ecigs. Though I hear that the problem is with the carts luci sells being shitty, not the ecig itself.

Definitely worth the money in every way - tho it does take a bit more work than the luci with its ready-to-go carts as you need to take out the cotton of the empty cart, fill it, replace cotton, then add a few drops to make sure the cotton is getting wet.
