So, im looking to build a new PC finally...
My current one is getting a bit outdated... I figured I wanted to do something a bit different this time around. I want to build a Briefcase PC... LCD and all into the briefcase. Im looking to have the briefcase be a desktop replacement with ultimate portability...
Its been a long time since I kept up on all of the new comp hardware coming out and with dual core and all this shit, im lost...
Can anyone recommend me the basics, motherboard(Micro ATX), CPU, ram, etc. that would handle playing Counter Strike Source, Photoshop, watching movies, etc. I want to keep this whole setup pretty cheap... I was planning to use my current 120GB Western Digital HDD, my 19" Viewsonic LCD, Optical drive(s) and whatever else I can scavenge out of my current PC.
I saw a couple Biostar and ECS MicroATX boards on Newegg that came as a combo with processors for like $90, but again, im lost on processors. I dont really have a preference between AMD or Intel, but its always seemed that AMD's that are comperable to the same Intel are cheaper...
I know I will need 90 degree PCI adapters and to gut the PSU to get it to fit but building it isnt the problem, choosing the hardware is..
Just found a thread on Bit-Tech with the exact thing I would like... bit-tech.net Forums - View Single Post - Steel Briefcase PC w/19" LCD
