Broken Offer

So I'm a bit of a noob and had a great day yesterday 3111 clicks and 403 conversions on a bizz opp offer. Woot my biggest profit day by 2 fold.

But this morning I wake up to check stats and the offer is at 390 and 1 conversion, I immediately get it pointed at another biz opp ( there are plenty of similar ones obviously and even the same ones from different networks) and send the AM an email.

He agrees with me that the offer is broken and that I should immediately redirect traffic while he looks into it. He says I will definitely get paid for any screw up that happened here. I believe him and know he is gonna take care of the situation.


So my question here is for you more experienced people to share how often you've experienced offers "breaking"? As a noob I constantly check stats because of things like this happening but I never really thought a major offer from a major advertiser on a major network would break like this. So how much experience have you guys had with this stuff? I read that I shouldn't be a constant stat checker but this seems like a pretty good argument of why I should be.

It happens. Just press your AM to credit you the difference. Most reputable networks will take care of it within a few days.

Just tell them what happened and they'll credit you for downtime leads. This has happened to me many times.

As long as the clicks are tracking they can at least look at how many leads you should have had (based on your historical conv.%s).

Just a clarification, I am in no way really worried about getting the credit I deserve. I know the network and my AM will take care of me and I have already been told it was the advertiser, it's being looked into and I will be credited. I doubt it will even take a few days.


My question is just how often you guys experience this on major offers of big advertisers.

So Isostar13 this happens to you often on major offers with big advertisers? How long is the down time usually for?

This happened to me once (that I was actively watching) and it was only for 5-6 hours in the morning/early afternoon.

Doesn't happen that often and you need to point things like these when you see them. they won't say anything if you don't. I had issue with tracking, was credit leads 2 days later by Hydra.

This can happen with a lot of offers. Sometimes its as simple as the page being updated without certain pixels etc. If the page is still up, chances are the sales are still tracking and you'll get credited for them.

miketpowell: It's happened to me 2x on one offer on one network. The network acknowledge it was the merchants servers that went down and credited me both times.

It's happened 2x on a different offer on another network. Again, same thing. They recognized something went down and credited me leads. 4x total over about a 2 mo. period but every time the networks have been great about giving me credit.

Which offer are you talking about having problems with? I'd get in contact with your account manager and start complaining, there could have been server downtime.

One big bizopp offer I've been running got hacked last night, and I'm getting leads compensated for downtime.
