What do you use, can wordpress work for a media rich site? Better suggestions? Thanks...

I think there are a few Wordpress themes that work really well with different kinds of media-- I know of one that's for photography, so there'll probably be something for videos, too.

WordPress would be easy to manage for such niche sites or else you can also go with joomla, they got some nice themes that will gel with your TV niche.

wordpress work well for tv niche, try to use search for tv shows themes, you will some good themes with better options..

Wordpress Video Plugin lets you stream video from different websites. If you google "wordpress video plugin", it will give you a list of the websites it supports. "TV Streaming Plugin" for Wordpress is for live video streaming straight from any channel on TV.

I would use wordpress, or as mentioned above Joomla. Both of these CMS's have plugins freely available for such things, and both tend to do very nicely with on-site SEO. Though a word to the wise, if you are installing plugins for Wordpress and Joomla, make sure you have looked into their security. There is an ocean of vulnerable plugins for both of these sites.

Would video apps like these be considered custom apps even though they're for Wordpress? If they are, you might have to go to a dedicated server, depending on each one's requirements.
