*Unless you're hosting something blatantly illegal. In that's the case, talk to somebody living in China.

^^ this is a resellers of wahome, beside cp with money anything can be solved , and support is ok. (bad english, but you cant have everything)

internet.bs and Katz for domains ,or get some .to
i heard very good things about those guys for domains Offshore Dedicated Server Offshore Hosting Web Asia Dedicated Servers CoLocation Secure Asia Dedicated Hosting Co-location , but no personal experience.

All depends how dark you want to go.

PRQ
^^^ Pretty much the most bulletproof you'll ever get*. It's where Wikileaks, NAMBLA, and ThePirateBay host their stuff. Internet.bs/Katz are good, but they are not quite on the same level as PRQ.

Thanks bro. + rep is coming at you. (too much rep given past 24 hours... I'll get you tomorrow cardine)

No its perfectly legal. I in no way have the internet skill set to do otherwise and get over, nor is it my inclination. I was in lockup once in the Bronx -- I didn't really dig it too much.

As long as a registrar is ICANN accredited, and as long as you're using any domains ICANN controls, you have no protection. Don't be delusional in thinking that because a registrar is "offshore" that you're somehow safer because if the US gov't wants your shit they'll just take it from you by going to the source.

Why everyone doesn't realize this is beyond me.

This is only true if you're running a huge site that's doing something blatantly illegal at a huge scale, and manage to piss off somebody very important at the government. For the other 99.99% of us, having a bulletproof domain/hosting can give you a lot of protection from stuff like C&D's and DMCA takedown notices.

Plus if you are doing something that might result in a lawsuit, hosting at PRQ, which purposefully does not require any personal information, can protect you legally.

So yes, for 99.99% of the people needing bulletproof hosting and domains, it provides you lots of protection.

Can someone confirm this? Curious.

Yes, but you'll still need to initiate a UDRP which will cost upwards of $5k if I'm not mistaken so internet.BS should be safe if all you do is register trademark domain names to promote affiliate/competing products.

If you're hosting pirated movies, then you need something else. From what I heard .ch domain names is pretty bulletproof for the illegal/copyrighted stuff.

WIPO UDRP arbitration costs $1500 for a single panelist. Trademarks owned by small companies without big legal budgets, sure, but big companies have internal legal depts or law firms on retainer to deal with this kind of stuff and any ICANN accredited registrar must abide by UDRP rulings I believe.

A bit late, but I wonder what does one mean exactly by "bulletproof" registrar or host. Because like
everyone else, they can do things only up to a certain point.
