"

so wtf does that mean to me?

2....about anchor text. lets say i have a link i want to post do i want the anchor text to be low competition and high search volume.?
does that help at all? i know it has to be related to the keywords in the link somehow or it will hurt. like i won't link to "bigtitties.com" with the anchor text of "hot air balloon pictures" ya? no?

3...i see all this stuff about using facebook to increase page view and ranking...so is it recommended to make an account for my organization (my site) and then find groups with the same niche topics and friend request everyone there and then once they are my friend i change my status every day and link to my page ? like if i had a recipe site i would link my new daily recipe every day...is that the right idea?

4....does it matter if you make the link look like the rest of the text? like whiout the underline and same color, so whoever might click it wont know its a link unless they mouse over the words? like if i wrote "i have a funny story about when i fell out of my chair" and "fell out of my chair" is the link to an image or whatever on a high ranking page...would the search engines ignore that link since its semi hidden? even if my site is about recipes..and i decided to add that link about falling out or a chair in whatever little blurb i write under the recipes...bloggy style...u with me? is this a good idea? i just thought that might be fun for some..lol and might improve my ranking a teeny tiny bit?

5....wtf is a landing page for? i'm just a publisher/blogger with a bunch of ads on my page...do i need this?

6....what is really the best way seo wize to display a site? 2 columns 3 columns? ads on the left or ads on the right? or ads on both sides (3 column) now i have two columns with header and footer and ads and links on the right, content on the left. it was a dumb template that i now hate and i'm about to write my own but i can't get a good answer on this one from anyone.

7....is it best to not have a header image and just use text? someone told me this..i kind of agree espeically b/c i get pissed when a site has acrappy header image. it makes me think the rest of the site will be crap too and i might not even go further. of course i won't be putting a crappy image b/c i know better but is it better to just not have an image at all?

Based on this and your other thread I'd say you're suffering from information overload. At the stage you're at there are some things you don't need to know.

1. Never heard of it, doesn't matter right now.

2. Anchor text is the text that you use to describe your link so that Google knows what your site is about. You won't know what your anchor text should be until you have done some research on what keywords you want to try and rank for.

3. Ignore facebook marketing until you have you got your head around SEO basics. Your head is in too many places at once.

4. Not sure what the fuck you meant by that paragraph but I'll try... the average user recognises how a normal link looks so changing this too much wouldn't be very helpful to them. Linking to a page with "I fell out of my chair" at the bottom of a recipe site won't improve your rankings to said recipe site.

5. Different people might say different things... I would call it a page where a visitor enters your site (possibly from PPC search engines) and the aim of the page is to get the visitor to do a certain action like fill in a form, go to a merchant's site and buy something etc. Other people might just call it a webpage and leave it at that.

6. 2 columns or 3 columns - SEO wise? Who cares. Google doesn't care about your site layout, they care about your content and links.

7. Keep the header image and make good use of the H1 tag also near the top of the page.

I don't normally bother with threads like these but you seem to have at least made the effort to do some research and ask (almost) intelligent questions. I'd recommend not asking so many random questions per thread next time though as you will more than likely not get an answer.

It obviously means nothing to you, ignore it.

2....about anchor text. lets say i have a link i want to post do i want the anchor text to be low competition and high search volume.?

You are getting confused. To put it basically, Google comes to your page and says "oh crap, here's a link! Where does it go? Oh, cool it goes to this other page... What is that other page probably about? Oh, the text that makes up the link (anchor text) says 'best ass dildos.' I'm going to assume that the page is probably about finding the best ass dildo on the market.

Obviously it's more complicated than that, but that's the gist.

Sure, that's how you can leverage Facebook's audience for free. THAT being said, with all the other questions you're asking, I'd recommend sticking strictly to SEO and getting that to work.

No, search engines would still pick up the link. Users, however, would have no freaking clue that there was a link there though. Also, if you're thinking about buying / putting links to your ass pleasure palace at the bottom of other sites and making them the same color as the background... that's a big no-no.

Google will ass-rape you with dildos that your little anal alley could never imagine existed.

even if my site is about recipes..and i decided to add that link about falling out or a chair in whatever little blurb i write under the recipes...bloggy style...u with me? is this a good idea? i just thought that might be fun for some..lol and might improve my ranking a teeny tiny bit?

Any link helps, but Google (and other search engines) do consider the context of a page and where the link is and that affects the link's "value." A link to a page where you can buy a strap-on is significantly better if it is an article about best ass toys rather than an article about princesses and fairies.

5....wtf is a landing page for? i'm just a publisher/blogger with a bunch of ads on my page...do i need this?

Landing pages are used to sell a user on a product; to convince them that they cannot live without your latest and greatest dildo technology; that your dildo provides more ass-tickling pleasure than any other dildo on the market; that other anal spelunking devices will damage your colon. Whatever.

If you're simply running adsense, landers aren't as important as if you're running a high-volume campaign on Adwords.

Now you're just being lazy. Do you even pay attention when you browse? Websites have all sorts of layouts. It makes no fucking difference whether you have three columns or two columns. What matters is that your website doesn't suck ball butter, that it has a logical structure, that it has good content, and that it sells your fucking double-ended ass dildo like no other.

Search engines use certain tags to help determine what a page is about. h1 tags are usually the "top" tag on a site and, therefore, tell the search engine what your site / page is about. Using an image means that the text in the image is invisible to the search engine, therefore you should include an h1 tag somewhere near the top of your page if you choose to use an image.
