Burnt Out

hey dude i can agree with you. But you must remember that you shouldn't work at night. Goto sleep at max 11 and wakeup at 8. I can bet my ass that a few weeks into this schedule you will feel great!

2pm - 2am??

why not 8am- 6pm or something?

Like my above post, i'm working on changing a lot of things, i think i'm going to shoot for 10am-6pm

The main issue is you are sleeping too god damn much, not that you are working too hard.

Sleeping 2am to 2pm is killing you. You dont need that much sleep, and its wearing you down.

6 hours will do you just fine. 8 if you have to.

We'll I usually goto bed around 6am and wake up at 2p.m. but yeah going to change this.

what do you do for 12 hours in a day?

what's your typical day look like. I'm sure there's a lot of stuff you can outsource.

Agreed! Going to get a Markteing VA in the next week, and outsource everything that's I don't have to do myself, this and the new schedule could be what i need. Plus reading GTD, never hurts. :)

1. Take some good vacation or go work in a new country, I've been doing this for 5 years, visited a ton of country, even went to Africa, it'll definitely help you to kill the routine and appreciate your lifestyle.

2. Find a new working schedule, try working in the morning

3. Do a lot of stuff that doesn't include a screen. I do a lot of rock climbing (that's my favourite, specially when I really feel overwhelmed), running, squash, gym, etc..

4. Find some partners to work with in some office, it'll help you a lot to keep your grind and stay motivated in the same time

5. Make sure you have some time without any technology every day/week.

Keep it up man!

Thanks!

I'm still working as hard as I was since the beginning, and I've been burnt out since 2005. As soon as I start getting tired or sick of working, I drink a coffee and continue on.

I cannot have one of you come up on me, so I need to put in those extra hours and set an example for the bleak state set before me.

That's kinda my state of mind too, but i still think I'm doing too much, and I'm wasting a lot of time. Some good outsourcing and organizing priorities would def do good, and probably you to Taco. Sucks being in Chicago right now though too, cold as shit!

1) Try to switch to mornings like others said. I am not good at this either but when I do it I'm much more productive and feel like I have way more hours.

2) Plan your day the night before. Make a list if that's your thing.

3) Worst things first. Get the shit you hate done first.

4) Try working in 90 minute blocks. No more. No less. For every 90 minutes, even if it kills you, take a bit of a break where you can completely detach. Doesn't need to be long, even 10 minutes. You will get more done in the day doing this.

5) Try to systemize what you shouldn't be doing. What are your highest revenue activities? You focus on those, get others to deal with the mundane.

Or just snort some adderal.

Oh, and this is one of the best pieces of advice here:

"Focus on one thing - scale it to make $X,XXX a day"

I used to do this and had best results with it... now I work longer hours because I have about 4 things on the go. I gotta listen to this advice for sure. This is key.
