Should you buy domain name based on a keyword that you know will be searched 1000s of time (like 5,000-8,000 a month) within 1-2 months, but right now barely anyone knows the keyword?

Also, can someone tell us from experience if they ever done that and their results please?

Just to inform others that I will be buying the domain solely to sell it later on and not for long time commitment.

If you're buying a domain with like 8000-9000 exact searches per month and you intend to sell it then my advice is either buy it so damn cheap or never do.

I have an experience with this type of domains and almost %80 of the time i end up developing those and making ROIs of over 5000%. Why? because these domains will only be of value to the end user. If it happens that you flip one of those to another domain flipper, They'll cut your throat in terms of price. Did you consider testing whether the traffic itself is profitable? Maybe it turns out to be a winner and you end up generating sales and cpc revenue.

or.... you can rank it and sell the keyword (call or email the locals) with a little work. After making the deal, 301 to their website thus putting them on the first page for that keyword. After the year go for the renewal. If they are not interested then remove the 301 and do it again... and ....again... and .... again.

Or just sell it one-time i guess.
