As for the trademark, I don't think that Pfizer (Viagra TM holder) would ever enen think about going after Viagra domain holders because there are thousands and thousands viagra domains being registered every day (considering also free subdomains). I don't think they care about it anymore!

As for the .us, this domain is good for generic SE traffic by ranking it high in SERPs and so you won't care much about type-in trafic.
.US domains would rank better in U.S. datacenters.
