I voted for Obama and I believe he's the best bullshitter. That's why he got elected. It's definitely why Clinton got elected in the 90s. In fact, if I didn't think Obama wasn't full of shit I wouldn't have voted for him. I knew he wasn't going to rush to pull all the troops from Iraq just to appease the anti-war hippies.

America used to attract the worlds "best and brightest." They want to be a doctor, entrepreneur, scientist in America. With the internet, screwed up immigration policies, and other countries growing in power the world best people have a lot of other options to achieve their dream. Now America gets a far smaller percentage of these people. Read the book, "The World is Flat." In my opinion, this is the single biggest factor in the declining strength of America.

As for inflation of the US Dollar, it is going to happen, get your money into assets and put some cheap debt on those assets. For the regular person, stuff will get more expensive, but it's not going to substantially change the standard of living on a long-term scale.

Like it has been said previously, trade is not a zero sum game. If Americans can get the same quality product at a better price from a different country, long term it is good for everyone. Creative and innovative people win in any country, especially America, able to arbitrage industries over and over again.

United Kingdom was the last super power, if/when things shift to an Asian country, especially as the economy becomes more globalized, I think I will do just fine in America. Especially the more we lean capitalist versus socialist (our friend Obama).

Sorry, I did miss it. I've just gotten used to you only being able to see circumstances through biased partisan eyes.

Actually being able to criticize your own is a step in the right direction. Next maybe you'll be able to see people who criticize both sides as not necessarily being your friend or your enemy, and you'll be on the road to not being a media controlled dickhead who thinks they know it all because the word was handed down to them from the mountain by Rush.

In the meantime you should abstain from looking both ways before crossing the street; not pay too much attention to warning labels on electrical equipment regarding use in the bathroom; and resort to the more faith based practice of snake handling. Jesus will surely protect such a valuable asset to the modern conservative movement.
 
The consumer driven economy was a fail from the beginning. This model was doomed and unsustainable as our present conditions are revealing.

The only way to reduce the trade deficit, become a producer, and exporting goods and services to other nations is through revaluation of the dollar.

If we hold on to the old ways, and keep trying to inflate the bubble, we will just be shooting ourselves in the foot.

The world has changed and it's not going to reverse, we don't live in Mayberry anymore. We can either adapt and change with it, or get fucked over in the process. Time to adjust our sails because it's clear we have no control over the winds.

turbolapp is correct. Alex Jones is just a modern version of the old-school dooms-day preacher. He even catches lots of atheists in his net because people (myself included) love a good fucking disaster flick. But really he's just taking his queues from the same end-of-days hype that's been going on since the book of Revelations came out.

Ok, dig it... most christians throughout all of history have always thought they were living in the end times! It makes their life and impending death seem more significant! I know, because I used to be one and loved the idea of the rapture.

Yes conspiracies exist, evil people exist, etc, but then he adds his own special stank to the truth. He packages it all up in a way that suits his own world view (rapture, NWO, microchips, mark of the beast, etc).
