Calif. Supreme Court to take up gay marriage ban

Does anyone actually think this thing is gonna get nullified?

A state that hates gays but loves marijuana. Damn, the power of psychological political marketing. Those Yes on 8 commercials pretty much made it sound like if you voted No, you were gay. Naturally I voted Yes.

Maybe because I mean it already has been once, other then that it got passed by such a small margin that I think that it has a fair chance.

If you looked at the exit polls the majority seemed to show Latino women voting No and Latino men voting yes with African American men & women pretty much voting yes across the board.

I dont want to have this turn into another political effect but how the fuck does gay people getting married affect you?

How the fuck does this work into affiliate marketing?

Go to Foxnews if you want political cocksucking.

It's got plenty to do, if you're thinking out side the box.
Pink dollars, plenty of them, most of the flaming crowd are entirely computer illiterate (seriously, I have a lot of gay friends... the only ones that know dick about computers are the "bears") and will buy anything on impulse because they're usually part of the DINK demographic...

Now, combine that with how much money is made off of marriages.
Venues, catering, taylors, formal wear hire, events staff, entertainment, holiday shit... The list goes on.

There's SHITLOAD of money to be made out of getting in on gay marriages, and if they're banned, you're going to miss out on a lot of that because gay people won't go through with the ceremonies.

In fact, considering that gay marriage is coming up for legislative vote again down here, fuckit, I'm going to go get a creative with some feeds ready and start hoarding some ccTLD domains just in case.

Yes, but BBwolfe's complain was that we weren't discussing how to monetize the turmoil, we were discussing on the turmoil.
I totally agree, there is opportunity here. For example, we had the first gay marriage in Tilos, a Greek island this summer.

The first thing I said when I heard it on the news was, "FUCK YEAH, this will resurrect the tourism economy!"
30 minutes later I was already checking out rates for honeymoon cruises with yachts and gay megasites to advertise on...
I am disgusting, I know.

Hannah: State I believe... part of the human rights charter. Although there'll probably be a federal one if the new Sex Party have their way.
(yes. In Australia, we have a new political party with a campaign platform based on sex. They launched on Monday, launch party is this evening at the Melbourne Sexpo)
And I moved back to Melbourne permanently. As good as the social scene is in Sydney, it's just... a crap place to live really. It's getting as bad as New York in terms of people being hospitable. People are still friendly in Melbourne.
I still travel to Sydney for business and stuff, but not as often as I should. I probably won't be up there again till the ICANN meeting next year at this rate.

Glowleaf: Disgusting? How so? You run a yacht business, so naturally anything that could get more clientele should be your top priority.
Gay people... Water sports... :D

Yes, the fact that you and I see it that way, does not mean that other people do. Especially the religious, backward minded sheeple around where I live. Thank you for the support, really.

Ok, that's really good to know. Nothing like that would ever be passed up here in Queensland, so we've basically just got to hope that something federal gets passed that the rednecks here get outnumbered on.

And ok, that's pretty cool! Most people I know who've lived in Sydney say the same thing... it's part of the reason why I'm in Bris!
