Can never finish a project, WTF is wrong with me?

Yeah alcohol helps me write way better. Well, maybe it's just the subject (sex how-to). I probably need to be in a relaxed state for that. Plus it's probably not a coincidence that almost all of the really great writers were alcoholics. :D

Weed kills my motivation. I hit the hot tub with a blunt and I'm DONE for the rest of the night. Although I hear that there are types of weed that help you focus...I've never had any of that haha.
 


No problem, since this part of the forum isn't indexed let me drop some knowledge on you guys, and be me I mean my friend Johnny Blue Boy from down the street.
  • As cool as it is to speed your balls off, less is more with amps. Like mentioned earlier, the more you take the more you tend to hyper focus. Take less, enjoy the increased focus and even increased euphoria you get in your work, and make the most out of the drug
  • Amps make you piss like a race horse, and it makes you not want to eat. A good way to get proper nutrition (or the best possible in this situation) is to hit up Smoothie King and get something like a chocolate hulk with peanut butter, or some other form of protein smoothie. I also drink a protein shake powder I got from Walmart that has a bunch of amino acids and stuff. Anyways, the smoothie will provide your body with carbs/callories/protein to help keep your body from eating itself. Bananas and none-acidic/non-vitamin C containing fruit are also very good, and provide the natural energy you need to help your body out during this period of over drive. Be sure to stay hydrated by drinking lots of water; I also like to drink milk during long binges because it's packed with protein and calories.
  • Stay away from vitamin C while dosing. I don't want to get into the science of it, but it's a well known fact that vitamin C kills amps (look it up if you want to know why, to be honest I forgot at the moment). Also, stay away from acidic food/drink. The more acidic your stomach is, the less amp is obsorbed. Taking something like baking soda, Tums, etc is known to increase the effectiveness of the amp dose.
  • DO NOT PULL ALL NIGHTERS if you plan on remembering most of what you did. Just trust me, you may feel like a champ but it's a fake feeling, you NEED sleep. I know some law students who have conditioned their body to be able to stay up for multiple nights and remember everything, but if this is your first time, you need sleep. IR can last for around 6 hours, XR can last for 12+ hours; even after these estimated duration times it may be hard to sleep, so dose accordingly and remember: everybody is different. DO NOT mix uppers with downers.
  • I'm not a doctor, use at your own risk and in moderation. If you have a heart defect, or if you have a lot of fucked up conditions don't touch this shit. It can cause increased heart rate, heart palpitations, increase blood pressure, chest pains, heart attacks, death, and a huge list of other fucked up shit.
All of this can be found on the internet. All of it is wrong and Johnny Blue Boy is not at fault if you read it and died because of it.

+1 for rum and cokes. I'm drinking the same, minus the cigar, right now... getting ready to crank out some copy.
 
adderall will make you stay on task, but if that task is "read wikipedia" you're still not getting shit done.

My advice is a short to do list, and a race to complete it.
 
My biggest money makers are currently the ones where I finished them and THEN took them to 120%.

I used to spend too much time on making my sites look nice. I still think this is important for conversions and user satisfactions, but I realized it was slowing me down. Mostly because when something doesn't look right I'll spend hours and sometimes days on it to try to fix it. By then I would almost be burnt out and frustrated with the whole site. Finally, i figured out to reverse the methods. Content/seo first on a bare minimalistic site, after I've got that going ,and gaining some speed, then work out aesthetics. This has made me much more efficient and there's been much less project burn out.

Like JKirk said, make sure you have a plan on what you wish to accomplish BEFORE you take it, and don't take a lot. Taking to much causes some people to hyper focus, and defeats the purpose.

If you take it before you make the list, you'll spend 4 hours making the list.

I am gonna try a paper to do list in my pocket. I could see that working. When I used phone based to do lists I always forget to open the apps to check what the fuck I am supposed to get done. But I always empty out my pockets.

my day job is webmaster, make most of that salary in affiliate marketing split with employer. thats another reason why its hard to move on, I setup a nice cash flow there that takes little effort to keep going and if I leave I get nothing.

Oh man stay away from that shit. The medium size of that "healthy" smoothie has 135 grams of sugar in it! That's INSANITY. Go with lean meat, nuts, veggies, seeds, and a little bit of fruit. Bananas are great; I eat one before every workout.
 
I smoke weed to help me "focus".. it calms me down, and i can get back to the tast at hand. I won't smoke the whole thing so I get stupid - just a few tokes to settle me down.

Take $250 from your bank account/credit card/mum's purse and hire a Filipino. Get them to do the work. Get them profitable and then hire another... and so on.

Don't listen to the man-childs' taking pills, injecting expressos and whatever. If your lazy, pay someone else to do all the crap.
