I have been affiliate marketing for about 4 months on clickbank. Made about 4 sales which is about $75 and I have lost about 3,000 on adwords directing people straight to the sales page. Now I have learned that making a website and pre selling the consumer is a better idea. So I made a video of myself promoting the product and I am in the process of building the website to put the video on. Do I have a good strategy, please give me any other forms of marketing to generate traffic and sales. Also, check out my video I am going too use for the site. Here is the link YouTube - Milad Moussavi Whole Sale Suppliers Let me know what I can work on to make the video better and drive in more sales. Thank's

props for sticking with it w/ 3k in losses and only 75$ to show for it. while clearly you gotta change tactics as that one's not working, props for trying.

really just read up as much as you can on this forum and you'll be fine. there's a ton of info to learn up on.

I think you're a good talker, just read up on the basics man, don't spend to aggressively either... spending 3k before realizing you need an LP is a bit much.

And why not link your LP in your youtube video comment section, even though you're not paying for views it doesn't mean it won't convert!

Usually people read too much before taking action, you've already proven you can DO, you just need more information to build yourself a solid foundation.

drop clickbank (at least for now) and hit up some cpa offers. it'll feel good to make some money for a change.

plus what they said ^^^^ :)

Nice Video, you just need a "but wait, there's more!" and you could sell sham-wows.

There's a few little things I could pick at - put the camera on a tripod for one, and shoot in light that is consistient rather than harsh sunlight on one half of you.

On PPC, If an offer doesn't convert, you need to stop! Most of the tests I run only last a few days and a few hundred dollars, depending on the traffic source. Generally if I haven't got a conversion after around 150-200 clicks, I drop the offer or at the very least seriously consider changing my strategy.

It's like stock trading, minimise your losses and maximise your gains... I know easier said than done sometimes.

Are you trying to sell everything you can find, or just one specific product, so you can learn what the market wants? Starting with one, is much better IMO then 20 different.

Read that Treasure Trove listed earlier.

Move to CPA offers- you are well spoken however never shoot a video outside w/ wind/car noise. Take it inside, little closer shot and try to cut the length in half.

Hey Guys thank you so much for all of your comments and honest opinions about my video, it really means a lot. I have already contacted CPA companies and been approved by one today. I will definitely record the video inside next time and get the buyer more excited. Please keep the advice coming. Thanks guys

Milad,

4 months and $3,000 is a lot of experience under your belt now. Look back at your old records and see what worked and what didn't. There's a lot of trial and error involved with this stuff.

You didn't fail, you just got a result. Now you have a chance to change your result!

Good luck!
Connor

Yeah your absolutely right Connor, I really have experience with adwords and I know how to generate traffic. Generating traffic directly to the sales page has not worked for me and now building a website and using my voice in videos should be the key to conversions.

The video seems fine but if you want to convince people to buy the product that you are promoting, I suggest you hire a professional that will help you create a better promotional video.

I watched the video...I don't know what you're selling because you talked too fast. all i know it sounded like sales goo.
talk slower and get to the point quicker - it was way too long. the wind in the video was a problem.

1.) Stress the fact that you are 19 and a power seller.
2.) Slow down when talking
3.) Work on the video quality (get a quiet room, and sit closer to the camera)

Also- Get into some other networks, if you are an eBay power seller you obviously know products best. Try finding some niche product sites and going from there

My (fitness/nutrition) blog has generated just under $2,000 year-to-date selling one Clickbank eBook. Granted, it's not a ton of money, but I've only spent ~ $300 promoting my blog (via Facebook) so it's not a bad ROI.

I think Clickbank can work for some ... specifically if you can get behind one product that is targeted to your audience.

I believe there is an issue with CB tracking. In fact, some have reported that by using a new affiliate account to promote a product whose sales seemed to have mysteriously dropped off, sales resumed to previous levels.

I promote some CB products on niche sites that I've not bothered to take down, but my sales are shit now and I've not bothered to register a fresh affiliate account to see if sales will resume. Fuck that. I'm busy enough with the shaving that some networks perpetrate.

Edit: I watched the video and have no idea what you are saying. The wind on the mic and the ratty banana trees are a distraction too. Plus, if video isn't the best medium for communicating your message, reconsider that approach. I know the e-book nutcases like to do the "Hi guys, I'm XXXX and I want to tell you a story." ... gag.

Have part or all of the content from your video on your website. Sometimes people won't take the time to watch your video, because they can read faster. Also, you'll want content on each page of your website.

Have you tried typing "free marketing tips" or "online marketing tips" into Google? You can scare up some valuable help there...

Yeah I am having someone build the website right now. I am going to promote a CPA offer. I wont have any words on the landing page, just nice graphics and my video (new one). I will definitely have other links on the page (privacy, terms, contact) So my quality score on Google will be up. Im sure I will start making money actually! What do you guys think?
