Can Yahoo answers be used to promote affiliate?

Ya time to grow up guys.

All kidding aside, there is a way to make money off Yahoo Answers while keeping under the radar of their mods. There's a writeup of it here which was posted back in Dec 2008. Most of the info is still current, but I suggest cloaking your hoplinks to fool the mods. How to cloak can be found here.
