Can you recommend good Life Insurance?

I have USAA because my grandfather was military.

I just increased mine to a million of 25 year term and I'm paying $800 a year. My wife has 500k for around $700 a year, but she's a few years older than I am.

I had a policy with Liberty Life that was pretty reasonable, but I switched to USAA a few years ago.

Employer insurance doesn't follow you if you quit, get fired or your employer stops offering the coverage. Keep your group policy by all means but don't rely on it. Term life insurance is the easiest to understand and the most affordable type of them all. Don't get into whole life or universal life if you don't understand how it works and for whom it works best. And definitely look around for life insurance quotes before buying the first thing the MetLife agent sells you because you never know what you could have bought for much, much cheaper. Use an aggregator website; they are great places to start with their quote engines, informational resources and needs calculators.

Good first post.

Looks like every company has some marketing intern troll the internets

I have $2M on me (10 yr term) and think I pay $1100ish/year. If you're young and healthy you can easily go bigger than you think for very little money.

Don't use life insurance to try and get rich or to make someone rich. Use life insurance to make up for the lost income that your family will need after you're dead.
