Can't Seem to Catch a Break...

So I am new to the game, but fortunately have friends who have been in the game for a while now who've been giving me advice but I figure it can't hurt to have more information.

I've read through tons of information on the forum and have been testing and try and just jumping right in and failing and optimizing and continuously trying to just get 1 result but haven't been able to see ANYTHING but negative bottomless pits...

My target has been Facebook advertising, I started by simply creating ads to facebook pages, which I coded to be my LP's. This worked to no avail. I then tried creating actual sites with LP's, though I didn't put in a lot of effort with the sites (more of just a test) this didn't work. I tried directing the ad's straight to the affiliate site using the link... still nothing works. I feel like I must be doing something wrong to have not seen a single conversion despite the many different approaches that I have taken and variations that I've created.

Currenlty, my only network that I gather links from is CJ, and I haven't been all that impressed with them and think they are fucking me. I have tried running ads for dating sites, for e-books about relationship help, for health products and nutrients, for direct products that people can get cheaper and while every single ad campaign that I have run I've optimized to get CTR's of .12 or better and get HUNDREDS of clicks to go to these affiliate offers I have still seen no conversions.

Any ideas? Or do I just ultimately suck at this?

I have rarely (possibly never?) sent hundreds of dating clicks without a single conversion unless something was wrong with the offer.

First try to get approved at a network other than CJ... maybe EWA, Neverblue, Adsimilis, Convert2Media, Ads4Dough, Wolf Storm Media or one of the many others. Having a good affiliate manager to talk with can be very helpful.

Set up and learn to use a tracking system if you don't already use one. Prosper202 is free, but you need hosting.

since you're not concerned about outing a losing campaign, pick one of your direct link examples and post the offer and ad along with screenshot of your fb demographic targeting.

re: CJ - there is a good dating offer on there I know of, but I'd try what netphase said and split test the same offer across a couple different networks.

Sounds like you're all over the place. Do what Netphase says and join those networks and work one or two campaigns to death.

Hundreds of clicks with no conversions in dating?

Test your links and then check that the network are having no tracking issues.

Otherwise, as mentioned above, try a different offer...

I just can say I'm a new people in this part.

That's the wrong to be looking at it. There are no "breaks" or "luck". Trust me looking at things that way is going to set you up for failure before you even start.

Engrave this post on your forehead OP.

Yeah I can't see how so few clicks could convert so badly with internet dating. Having said that I'm not off to a great start myself - had some 'luck' early in my affiliate marketing efforts and it's been a long slog since then without the results I'd hoped for.

There is nothing about affiliate marketing and catching breaks: money is not easy to be made. You need to persist through these times or you'll end up like the thousands of other people that drop off during this period.
