Case Study: Spending 25,000.00 on an offline biz using WickedFire BST services.

So I've been primarily a lurker on these forums for the past 5 years and even though I only have 5 or so iTrader, I've spent around 50k through different providers over the years (Mostly in 2010 and 2011 before the major Google spam updates started rolling through every other month). Since then I have taken a step back and reevaluated how I was going to move forward with SEO in the future.

These days I have dropped all of my clients and now only invest in offline businesses that are willing to offer me a percentage of their company to handle their marketing (much more lucrative).

Anyways I figured since I have learned so much over the years from a (select few) WickedFire members that i would post my most recent project here and the service providers I'll be using.

____

First thing is first. I always try and hit up the following two threads and make sure I stick as close as possible to what these two suggest.

CCarter - Brand thread (SERPwoo is the shit)
I follow pretty close to what he does here for the exception of completely avoiding Fiverr services. I use 48hourslogo.com for my logos, I always buy a premium theme from themeforest (and then heavily modify it), I don't use any UPS mailboxes or known virtual offices like Davinci & instead go with shared work spaces or little known virtual offices. (even though you can get a suite number from a UPS box, it is very easy to tell you have a UPS box from the street view), lastly, since I am marketing an offline business I only do 1-2k followers and likes on the social media sites. Everything else I pretty much follow to the T.

dzianis - I won't start link building until 6/1/15 after all of my local places and social media have all been finished or have all been running for a month or so but I like to read over this older thread a lot when I am planning my link-building and then scale it up. This guy really knows his shit. Blue Hat SEO Contest

- Thread here - This guy only had 35 posts, but he definitely delivered. His writers are 100% not Indian (lol) perfect grammar, with really well done niche and keyword research. Also a very quick TAT. Already purchased around 100k words and will probably be adding another 200k words of long tail blog posts over the next few months. (Use this guy!)______________

Social Media:

I use two providers here, one to setup the profiles and keep the profiles fresh and another for shares. Both guys are fuckin awesome and over deliver every time.

Shares:

Diablo9975 and I purchase 270.00 package (Pack E, I think)

His Thread is Here and he seems to always over deliver.

Brand Setup & Posting (Also Google Local):

Andrew Scherer - His thread here.

I know there are other providers on here who offer the same services or similar, but I have found that he has done the best work for me when it comes to local citations. (Side note: AdamSteele is an absolute fuck face who has scammed me out of 2400.00 in the past and since he is based out of Canada I didn't pursue any legal actions against him. DON'T USE HIM).

I'm buying the follow from Andrew for 8 separate locations (3 real - 5 Virtual Offices)

Bare Essentials (x8)
Content Kings (x8)
Underdogs (x8)
Big Bertha (x8)

This will start my social media and also secure my brand name across tons of social media sites. (Brand Name - City)

Google Local Business:

Hyper Local Citations - 40 (x8)
Big Citations (x8)
Rich Media Citations (x8)

Link Building:

I have selected several people for this (One of which is banned on this forum)

1. This is the where the majority of my money will be going.
Second & Skohh - Stuff that works without Spam (I am really excited about this one.) Will begin around 6/1/15

2. Infographics - I bought 3 from Member8200
They do really good graphic design work (Poor English though - but no biggie) I plan on trying to get these out to several high end blogs and promoting them on Social Media (Hopefully they go Viral).

3. This guy has an absolute shit rep on this forum, but he has a lot of solid reviews on other forums and his new service is one of a kind so I decided to risk it. Hopefully he doesn't take my 3k and run lol) Nanexo!

4. Shakeitout - Thread here - Going to be purchasing 20 Topical Tropical posts.

5. Kingofthewiki - Thread here - Getting one Wikipedia link for an exact keyword.

I will be posting rankings as I go and as more things get started.

For now, just by following CCarters thread I am already ranking top 20 for most keywords with content alone and even have a few top 3's.

So far so good!

Software I'm using:
SERPWoo, Ahrefs, Moz, Majestic, SEMRush, SERPBook, and several others. If you want graphs just let me know.

An Update!

Linkbuilding

So far Shakeitout, Nanexo, Member8200, & Kingofthewiki have been paid and they have each finished their work. I'm very happy with all of these providers. I fucking love my Wiki link (ranked top 30 for the keyword now) & the infographics are bad ass.

Google Local & Social Media

Andrew pulled through and did great work on both the Local Citations & the Social profiles. I bought a few of his ecosystem packs and they haven't started yet.

Content & On-site

Since my last update I've made the site even quicker by not by much, still steady at 500-600ms.

I have added tons of content and schema to the site. Over 20k more words and roughly 30 more pages. I just put in an order for another 47k words which will be another 28 pages of content (target city related).

Rankings

I've added over 200+ keywords tot he campaign and every morning I wake up I seem to have another 10-20 keywords in the top 10. The crazy part is the pages that are ranking only have updated schema, the content hasn't been added yet and I haven't even begun doing the big link building yet.

So far every provider has been killing it, I am starting with Second & Skohh this week and I should be getting back the rest of my content by Friday.

Averaging 4-10 calls a day currently and I have already gotten a few jobs. I don't see any issues getting number for the vast majority of these terms in a month or two.

Hey guys, it has been a little while since I had an update, I've been pretty busy. Since my thread is about to hit the 3rd page I thought I'd give everyone an update.

So far everyone has come through for the most part.

I had a few issues with Andrew on the local stuff, some of his citations were from Russian and Chinese sites. Only a few, no big deal. I asked him to remove them and it was not a problem, he actually over delivered on everything else.

One thing to consider when hiring Andrew or anyone else for local, write several descriptions, give them tons of photos, logos, ect and ask for them to be added as well. I made the mistake of not doing that and I had to add them all manually afterwards,

Nanexo pulled through great, his work has given me a good solid link foundation for the top pages of my SILO.

I had an issue with Taylor who was doing my content, apparently there was a breakdown in communication and I got stuck paying for a bunch of articles I didn't need. Because I don't do business in that way (would have offered the other articles no problem) I made the jump over to Vin with WordAgents and let me say this, that guy is fucking awesome. I have a shit ton more content ready for him to do. Very happy with Vin

Everybody else did their jobs great and the 3 infographics I got from Member8200 are badass and will be forwarded to Second & Skohh this week, I had Alex from Hyper6 build some sweet Call to Action forms for my site (while he was on vacation) he is a good dude and probably the only guy I would let touch my sites design wise.

Second & Skohh begin the huge linkbuilding package this week and I am really excited for that.

Already have made over 8k revenue in the last month, which is 8k more than I expected until at least August.

It was 1 RU site and I do not know where it came from. It was not in any of the reports I sent and there was no verification e-mails in the e-mails set up for you. The other was 1 PR5 .com in Korean from the Social Foundations Big Bertha report I killed @ your request, also not a citation.

You should have told me on Skype, I would have done that for you. This happens almost every week. I just handle it, no problem.

A lot of folks don't realize how much dollary-doos a local site can pull. Like ToddW didn't realize when he said the keywords look like long phrases. Well they are. And that's pretty much where the money is.

Thanks, it wasn't a criticism, the few issues I had you took care of and the other one was my fault for not supplying anything. Your services are always pretty awesome. Look forward to using you again very soon.

Another quick ranking update. I've been optimizing my content and SILO structure the last few days. I'm about 60% done with the SILO and onsite SEO for the current content. Then I have around another 50 pages ready to go up.

So in just a few days you doubled the # of your top 3 rankings and added another 41 keywords to the front page.

Noice.

I have a question for you - how are you managing content ?

Content is pretty straight forward.

Home > Main Keyword (Without Local Targeting) > Keyword (With Local Targeting & Physical Address) > Sub Location (Cities with no Physical Location but in same County as it's "parent" location) > Main Keyword (Without Local Targeting)

The strong links (Editorial, Niche Relevant High PR) will be pointed to the home page (Most Editorials can't be pointed to the home page) or to the Main Keyword page.

Local Citations are built to the physical addresses or parent locations (Which you did) & smaller links will hit the Sub Locations if it is even needed (probably not).

I have been adding OBL's to each page linking back to recent news articles (Not PR Releases) that are relevant to the keywords I want to rank for. I then update these OBL's once a month or sooner if there is big news. This has been doing wonders for the rankings.

Another thing that has been killing it for me rankings wise is this.

On the "Main Keyword Page" I'll add "Main Keyword in City Name" on the bottom right of the Main Keyword page for each City I am doing. Each "Main Keyword Page" is packed with 3k + content, tons of LSI's, lots of link juice, ect, so they have been passing massive results within a few days of doing that.

I still have to do that for several more "Main Keyword Pages" but when I'm done I'll probably have 80 or so top 3 rankings just from inner linking and content alone.

I also have 30+ blog posts going up a month with whatever big news stories are out there. Right now it is just for content, but as the link building begins here on Monday I'll start having content written about any keywords which are having SERP movement issues.

This thread is missing revenue figures.

Thread is about 6 weeks old, so say within another 6 weeks and you should be bringing some decent coin, no?

Yea, as we go into August I expect to be making 5 figures a month pretty easy.

So far to date I am at 9.35k from 4 jobs.

Great thread! keep up the good work.

Are you taking the phone calls and then qualifying them and then passing over to the business?

9.3k from 4 jobs. This is the money the company made on the 4 jobs that were delivered via your marketing. What is your%. Obviously there is some baked in costs of good sold etc. If the business profits 2k from this then you get x?

Great thread!

Great thread!

The 9.35k is my money, the total profit on the jobs brought in was just over 31k. I get 30% profit.

Here is an update for today's rankings and I have wired the money to Second to begin work tomorrow.

Sup. Checking in to say you were right and I was wrong. Good on yah. Be interesting to see how profitable this ends up for you over the lifetime of the project.

Thanks dude, I'm trying to keep the thread updated. I actually just paid Second today to begin the Primelinks without spam & I paid Vinny to write me more content.

There will be updates!

What are your total costs so far?

10/10 thread, would bang.
