Chad Wehrmaker from EPN Speaks

That's the problem, eBay don't need to look after their affiliates. Truth be told they view them quite suspiciously these days. The cookie stuffing issues have damaged the internal credibility of all affiliates except a small handful who were allowed to retain the old privileges.

Yeah, that's it exactly. They think affiliates are untrustworthy pond scum and it shows in how they treat them. But it's not 2005 anymore. There are xxxx's number of companies that always happy to see new affiliates. And except for super weird niches, there are a dozen competitors to Ebay out there that want and need your affliate expertise.

If the lady don't like out, walk out the door. How do you know if the lady don't like you? She keeps throwing the cast-iron frying pan at your head.

EPN makes up a significant portion of my income. However, I abandoned the thin site model (more or less) early this year in favor of focusing on SEOing the shit out of my top earners. Three of my sites make up the vast majority of my EPN earnings, and its all organic traffic. Took a lot of work, though. Lol!

Pretty much the same situation for me. I generate around $2000 average with about 3 EPN sites. All organic traffic, that I've been SEO'ing for more than a year. Before QCP I was around $3K a month with the same sites. I try to shoot for a $0.21 EPC now, as that seems to be about the max I can pull off with QCP.

As for Amazon, I have absolutely never been able to get any of my Amazon sites to make much money. Even with good SERP's and decent traffic, I just don't make shit with them. 4% of $100 sales just takes too damn long to put together a paycheck, so I don't focus on Amazon much at all anymore.

serious question, does anyone actually make real money with epn or amazon? When I started with Amazon I had to sell like $4500 worth of shit to make $180. Everybody I know whose main revenue is from these is maxing out at like $100 / day. Plus their strategy is seo and based on thin ass (read: soon to be de-indexed) drip feed sites. Obviously some people are banking but it seems to me one of the hardest ways to get started in affiliate marketing or to diversify your earnings.

edit: i take that back, thinking more i do know of 2 people who are both doing ok on ebay (or at least who were prior to qcp) but neither of them is using seo for their shit.

I have a few amazon sites that do o.k., but for all the work, IMO it isn't worth it. The only reason I really get any money from it still is because I SEO'ed the shit out of it a while back when I first started in AM. For example, this month so far I have sold $3,527.16 worth of shit, which makes for $235.67 worth of earnings (that is at 7%). The conversion rate isn't that good either, this month for example is like 2.22%. Just to give you guys an idea that is with 9354 clicks, and those 9354 clicks have turned into 208 items ordered. I forget where I read it, but one of the big blogs had a screen of them doing like $14k last month on Amazon. Who knows maybe my traffic isn't targeted enough. It is a nice extra few hundred a month, but would I plan on getting rich with it? Hell no. Not to mention they have bullshit random $25 caps on the expensive stuff.

So in short if you want to make money, don't waste your time with them, they are fucking you, imo.

gooooood luck bros

Oh yeah, and the 24 hour cookie sucks obviously. But I guess they really don't have a choice since so many people visit that site anyways. I think it should be a 48 hr. cookie AT LEAST, probably a 3 day cookie I would be fine with though. But hey, who the fuck looks at products and reviews them fora day or so before making a purchase ;)
