China has absolutely no desire to dominate militarily, and their track record proves it. They're out to dominate economically, and they're doing a damn good job. Fuck me, you even have the EU asking China for a financial bailout. China could sink the US in one day by dropping all their T-Bills on the open market, they're raping and pillaging Africa, Australia, and the list goes on, and on.
I can't remember, but what's that quote? I care not who makes the laws, as long as I control the economy? Something like that, and defines China quite well.
I don't know how far you can take that conclusion. Up until very recently, like the last five years, they have never been a serious military contender. Recently though they've pulled off a few things here and there that have made the military analysts do double takes. They are very understated with their military capabilities. Not saying you're wrong but they're not who they used to be and their economy is just as fragile as anyone else's at the moment.

I'm less concerned by China being the new World Leader than I am America being the current one.
With America it always feels like some religious nut or retard (same thing), like Bush, has his itchy finger on a trigger for a world war. I also don't feel comfortable allowing the world's fate to potentially rest on the shoulders of a country that, to the rest of the western world, seems completely unable to take care of itself and it's populace without the say so of numerous nutters and various companies.
You wouldn't give children guns (although your placid society would no doubt give them out free in cereal boxes if you could), and you shouldn't give the presidency to fucking spastics. Idiots shouldn't have that much power and I consider China a more rational place - as crazy as that may sound.
