Chrome Alternatives?

What's the best Chrome alternatives for Mac? I really just want all of the functions of Chrome without the tracking.

I've been checking out the SRware Iron Browser but It looks like it might be buggy. Any feedback on that?
 


Been using Iron for years. Windows. Just love it. But not sure if all the Chrome addons work for Iron.
 
There's Epic which touts itself as a privacy focused and anti-tracking version of chromium. Even has a built in proxy server it provides for free (if you trust it). Nice concept, although they're a little murky when it comes to the source code. Sounds mostly closed source which is pretty odd given that the whole goal is safer browsing:

Chrome autoupdates, so it does check in with Google in that regard, but they already get far more info from their analytics being on so many pages.

In 2010, they claimed to start removing the Unique Id after install.

Chrome that is part of software bundles contains an identifier, said to be so they can measure success of those particular marketing efforts.

"Send usage statistics" is off by default in Chrome and things like address bar predictions can be turned off. Do so and Chrome basically becomes the same as Iron in regards to privacy.

It's possible that Chrome has additional unknown stuff going on under the hood, but if there is then it would also still be in Iron, cause if the Iron guy found it he would probably mention it and remove it.
 
Firefox as one
Palemoon - Firefox core but less mem consumption and can get firefox plugins as well
Kmeleon - much lesser consumption, its like IE 1, no plugins, no flash, no tracking, just a browser
 
Opera is based on Webkit now so it's pretty much Chrome/Safari at this point. Maybe with a few Opera tweaks. I've been trying it out for about a month now and it's a solid offering. Miss my Firefox plugins too much to jump ship though.

Does Firefox use more than this? I have 5 tabs open and about 8-9 plugins. I have a browser and Photoshop opened permanently and I seriously hate when I see how much ram it takes. It's ridiculous.
 
If you live on plugins like we are used to these days, then cannot run beyond Chrome and Firefox.
