Does anyone know if advertising on the Google Content network is against the terms of the CJ Publisher Service Agreement?

The reason I ask is I was just asked where all traffic is coming from as they could see some "odd sites" in my referral logs as well as the standard Google, Yahoo, MSN search referrals.

No, that's not against the CJ PSA. Just make sure to choose "Search Engine Marketing" from the promotional methods section in your account settings tab. Just tell them you're on the content network, and everything should be fine.

Ask if they have an issue with a specific site that was listed as a referrer, and if so, offer to block your ads from showing up on that domain in the future.

Thanks Johu.

I've been in contact with their network quality dept, and it was a handful of sites that were causing the problems. CJ was having a hard time believing that these sites were on the Google content network.

I've sinced blocked the offending domains, IPs and even did a category exclusion on the special category that they fell into, so all seems well in CJ land.

Maybe this search team should start stealing my uncloaked keywords... But I guess I don't pop on to their radar with my low-volume account that is only in the top 3-10 publishers for the majority of programs I promote.

CJ search has what I'd consider a pathetically small share of the search accounts for CJ advertisers, and it's really easy to find out if an advertiser is using CJ search by checking out their official search campaigns. If you're worried, just don't deal with those advertisers.

:)

I'm not worried in the slightest, have zero interest in this just thought I'd share some friendly advice... I no longer live in sunny santa barbara and couldn't care less.

:)
