Classy Atlanta Fans

Why so much hate?

I'm a life long Cards fan.

That was a nutty game. I was at a bar full of Cards fans watching it, everyone agreed that was a horrible call. But that's not why they lost. They basically gave it away with the 3 big errors.

As for the hate, haters gonna hate.

Excited to see how we do against Washington. I was more worried about the Atlanta game than any other teams we'll be playing, glad that's behind us.

With respect to Braves fans Chipper was an amazing player. If they didn't have to come through us I would have like to see him end his career deeper in the post season.

I enjoyed watching them sprint off the field to dodge the barrage of beer bottles after they won. It was kinda like watching 300 but in Atlanta.

this new one, where there's actually a penalty if you don't win the division seems right to me.

Exactly. I didn't think I'd like it until I saw a Texas team that fizzled at the end of the season get exactly what they deserved. The A's and Orioles deserved it more and now they get to play a whole series against Detroit and New York. Texas gets to watch. I love the new system.

I am all for the wild card playoff. I think it is more than enough of an incentive to win the division instead of just coast. As you pointed out, some divisions are tougher than others, like your example of the AL East. The Braves were 26 games over .500, which was the same record as San Francisco and Oakland and 6 games better than the Tigers. I think if you are 26 games over .500 after 162 games, I think a couple of games at home and a 3 game series is pretty reasonable. Having no margin of error after that many games (and having that good of a season) seems pretty ridiculous.

For the record, I am a Dodger fan (enter punchline here), and was embarrassed when year after year the winner of the NL West was like 4 or 5 games over .500 while some team that was 20 games over missed the playoffs. Just my 2 cents...

I'm from Atlanta, and it's just refreshing to see some kind of emotion on the part of the Braves fans. Even during the height of the braves in the early 90's after a couple seasons the fire in fans seemed to disappear.

I'm the shittiest Cards fan ever.

Last year, Game 6 of the WS, I was like "Well, it's over" and passed out.

Last night, around the 4th, I was like "well, it's over" and passed out.

I would have taken 100-1 against the Cards in the 4th. I couldn't believe how bad Wainwright got rocked.

They brought the magic. Unarmed, hope to see your Tigers soon.
