For those of you running lists, I thought the following article might make for a good read...

How to Double Any Company’s Revenues in 12 Months | free newsletter

It's written by Clayton Makepeace. He has a lot of experience with mailings, both online and off. The first part of the article is a bit pedestrian. The rest is filled with reminders. But it's still valuable stuff. Short, too.

The gist:

1. mail more often
2. mix promotions with free stuff your audience considers valuable
3. train your list to look forward to your mailings

When (if) you read the article, your first thought may be, "Tch. C'mon, this is common sense."

And that's true. If it were convoluted, there would be far fewer knuckleheads making millions with their lists.

* I was going to put this in the Mailing sub-forum, but just realized that forum is private.
