Is this anything you guys do? I was recommended it despite being with a pretty reputable CPA network. I'm a newbie about to do some PPV stuff, and I'm definitely not up to anything shady, but should I cloak to hide my sources/KWs?

Affiliate networks are run by very kind and loving people who have absolutely no temptations when they see exactly where your traffic is coming from and what keywords you're bidding on.

no you wont get in trouble for hiding your referrers, but if any questions arise about the traffic or quality isn't backing out from the advertiser the network will want to dig in and may ask you to disclose that.

You forgot some bloody advertisers, they are the real motherfuckers stealing traffic/keyword from pubs

OK, but can I get into any kind of trouble if I cloak?

Cloaking is necessary but not encouraged to everyone.
You'd better check that first with your AM
And get ready to prove yourself in case network/advertiser are suspicious about your traffic

Clocking is generally not a problem. But cover your bases and talk to your affiliate manager to find out exactly what will get you in trouble.
