Weird deal. I wanted to buy the $70 one when I realized this is probably not managed and without any kind of addons such as cpanel or w/e. I'm too lazy to set up everything by hand. Nice deal tho for those that like to play around with servers

Believe it or not, there are a lot of these frugal/budget vps providers that are offering unsustainable services, as a means to market their companies. Of which 99.9999999% are oversubscribing nodes, and in this case "lifetime service" realistically means < 1yr.

They might be good for purely a demo box, to play around with or as a development server, but apart from that, you can't really trust any of these companies with a business site. The first thing you will notice with these types of offers and companies is support tickets take eons to get answered, and you are waiting for hours for your node to come backup - because other people are abusing it, ddos attacks,ect...
 
Oh yeah, I'm not delusional that they may not be around forever or at a great level of quality.

But as a sandbox to play around in, or to run scripts off of, a one-time cost isn't too shabby.
