Group challenges acai berry weight-loss claims - CNN.com

Companies including FWM Laboratories of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Hollywood, Florida, Advanced Wellness Research of Miami Beach, Florida, and other acai companies are accused of using fake diet blogs to steer consumers to sites plugging the free trials.
People still think it's the advertisers that have the blog landers. Affiliate marketing is way more under the radar than I thought, but how long can it stay that way?

It is all going to come to light soon enough. I think the flogs have lead us down a path that there is no steering off of. The grant ads on FB, using celebrity names in ads, yeah you might have a high ctr hell possibly a great conversion rate. That is gonna mean nothing soon enough when they start saying no to everything we try do even when it is legit. Perfect example is FB.

Hopefully some of these copy and paste jackasses will start trotting along once they realize there is actual work involved.

You say that like FB doesnt need us to survive. Their ad policy will chance soon enough

Berriez FTW!!!

Well, if referrers are cloaked, these diet product companies can have "no idea" (wink, wink) where the traffic comes from...

The fact is that the product is legitimate, but the advertisers formatting on the backend is what leads to a bad reputation for these campaigns. The companies that are transparent, that provide solid customer service and that abide by their T's and C's will survive. The ones that are relying on hidden rebills/rebuys and drive a potentially cancelling consumer insane are making the entire industry appear 'shady.'

Ehh.... the product is not legitimate as a weight loss product. It started in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu community in the US a number of years back. Acai has Guarana which is high in caffeine (which is why it is so popular). The properties of any anti-oxidant is gone once the berry is picked.

Acai is fucking full of calories if ate in a porridge form (with bananas and granola - how it is eaten in Brazil).

Where they got it as a weight loss product...I don't fucking know. But, it ain't. And it is no different than any other marketing where it gives hope or promise. You might as well cancel all the diet products out there since they are mostly all shit.

If they want a whipping boy and girl go no further than Oz and Big Fat-Ass Oprah. Biggest fucking jokes on the planet.

Honestly, affiliate marketing will get highly regulated in few years. There will be government bodies seeing all things happening in AM world. In a way it will be better as networks and advertisers won't scrub and do all dodgy shit.

Also it will take out all the lazy and crappy marketers in AM world. Most aren't willing to do hard work.

"Marketing" should be creative work and things which get you going not copy and paste shit.

Alot of the fuckers in AM world won't be there in few years (including big money makers) as their game plan of making quick buck won't work and will be constantly be monitored by the government.

uhh...ok, that sounded a bit scary than informative, Mr. Clairvoyance.

Gawd, read the comments on that site... hilarious.

I ordered a "free" trial size of acai berry on-line from a blog that stated Oprah Winfrey endorsed the product. When I ordered the trial size, I didn't have time to read the whole blog because I was told to hurry up before the time expired.

ordered acaiburn and acai platinum on line... .not only did the product come late but DVD's were sent that were not ordered (for a price of $119.85.)

This is "psychological" terrorism at is best! Are you FAT, drink this "magical" potion! Are you impotent (erectile dysfunction), buy this herbal remedy... GUARANTEED! Do a search for anything that bothers you about yourself, and there will be a "blog" out there that is probably financed or sponsored by one of these MANY emerging scam artists companies! If it sounds TOO good to be true, that is because IT IS! Don't be scammed by these people, they pray on the weak and take your money! Shame on them for their ruthless tactics, but even more so, shame on US for believing their ludicrous claims!!!

LOL, diet and exercise when will you people learn? You deserved to get scammed. Even funnier is the scam ad to lose 6 pounds in a week on this page, you guys should fall for that too.

"psychological terrorism"?!
That takes the fucking cake. Does that douche even understand the term "terrorism"? Or "Psychological"?
Being a terrorist is being the new communist which was the new nazi...
Don't like someone or something? Accuse them of being, or being supportive of, terrorist/ism.

Hey, there's a student rally about something! They're terrorist sympathisers.
Hey, there's some hippies blockading a site of environmental degradation! They're economic terrorists.
Hey, there's a company putting tuna in my canned dolphin! They're environmental terrorists.
Hey, there's some terrorists blowing shit up at the airport! Oh, don't worry about them, you just miunderstood their religion... But they're Irish Catholics/Protestants/Republicans/Irish! Oh, sorry, I meant they're not terrorists because they're White.
