Collapsible Impact Batons?

If you want a baton, get one regardless of Texas law. The law may say that you can't carry one, but that is a problem to be dealt with after you've laid out any scumbag that would try to harm you or your kids. Better to deal with the consequences of breaking the law than to deal with the consequences of not being able to crack some weasel up side the head if needed. Just my .02

I don't want a gun. I like the idea of the baton

Silly hippy ;)

Seriously though, opt for the 24" rather than the 16". It's always better to keep your attacker farther away - even if it's only a little bit farther.

The batons are hollow, so weight really isn't an issue.

Strike limbs, not the head. Preferably, aim for the joints. That's about it.

Not a weapon for self defense if you don't know what you are doing.

Really, you have to get close and mean business.

Well, granted I've never been physically attached, but I would assume they get kinda close.

I ordered the 16 inch baton yesterday. I'll test it out see what I think and get the bigger ones later if I feel comfortable.

You've never been physically attached? I sorry :(

I have abandonment issues.
