It depends on how you interpret what you see around you, man. If you look at the fine details of everything you see, how could it not be interesting? Next time you look at a tree, don't just think "Oh, it's a tree." Look at the dimensions, the colors, the texture of the bark, the leaves, the veins, the initials that some kid carved into it and wonder what that scene looked like, etc. About situations and stuff that's happening, look around and think "What's hilarious about this?" or "What is cool about this?" etc. You will notice stuff.
I've read a lot of stuff that suggests people who grew up with a lot of video games and tv (and now probably net surfing too) have trouble feeling stimulated by the real world, because everything is presented in an interesting way for them so they don't have to do it themselves. I believe it. But you can learn to be more self-amusing and that makes life a lot more interesting.
