I setup a Content network campaign with 1 ad group...30 keywords in the ad group related all to the same niche. very tight ad group. i set the campaign live and quickly got 3000 impressions and a .33% CTR. then, havent gotten anything since. i contacted adwords and they said everythign is setup correctly. i copied the campaign and started it again and nothing...

any advice?

It seems that earlier today I made a PPC cost change and none of my ads have shown since. Must be some extreme server lag or nobody on the ball over there :???:

Not to sure why Google said everything is fine. You should have asked them if your account is under review, since if it is; then all campaigns will be passively paused in the meanwhile.

More than about 12-15 keywords tends to get ok initial volume, then you end up having enough low value impressions that the whole adgroup gets penalized. Just my experience...

It sounds to me like you got hit by quality scores. I know there is no quality scores on the content network for they have some kind of system in place that "low quality sites" get penalized from the CN.

It happend to me a few months back. I was running a succesfull campaign on thei google CN. The campaign was running well, lots of clicks and impressions for about 3 months until someday I stoped seeing impressions and clicks. I called them and the Google rep said I had to improve the quality of my site...... so I guess they do have some review/quality process.

Thats my own experience.

My advice, try with a new domain name.

i had the same problem. My site was getting alot of impressions and high ctr, then just stopped getting impressions totally. I thought it might be under review because i adjusted the budget, but after 3 days it didnt come back.
I switched the campaign to another account and it started getting impressions in a few hours.
I think there is some kind of manual review on content network, that has to do with the type of offer you are running.

Sounds like your ad group isn't performing to Google's expectations. When a new ad group is created, Google will run some traffic to it to determine the eCPM of your group. If it's competitive with the other ads sharing the space, you'll get your fair piece of the pie, otherwise, you'll get nothing.

Bottom line... try upping your bids.

Yup

More than likely the case.

Other ads make them more money, no reason to show yours.

I think 30 keywords in one adgroup on CN is way to much. Usually I use something like 1-5 keywords anf have found that this works best.

give the content network a day or so, you may be manually reviewed. Failing that, try either upping your bids or deleting the campaign and starting again. Google may have slapped you website for poor quality. Yes, this can happen on the content network and does happen quite regularly.

That may be the case who knows. But I was told by the google rep that I needed to improve the quality/content of my site.

Im not running that campaigns so I can give more details.

It was a "myspace" landing page, you know those pages directing the traffic to the webfetti offer....

My CTR was 0.80% - 0.90% which I think is high enough for the CN and the myspacer niche.

My max bid per click was $0.41.

For that particular niche and market the CTR was good and the bid was high enough...

So thats why Im guessing they have some kind of QS in place for the CN as well....

Maybe im wrong.....

my own experience with the content network. after 2 hours I start seeing impressions and clicks. 1 day or more is way to long.....
