Convention Swag - What do you really keep and find useful?

Next to nothing? T-shirts can be good (like Jim Lillig giving out ClickFusion shirts at the meet market), as are water bottles (both ending up being used in the gym). Useless are bound reports on the state of the CPA industry (like Jim Lillig giving out these at the meet market).

On mixed blessing swag, energy drinks that may cause slight allergic reactions (I got the entire Vemma drink set) but keep me going for 2 days along with just coffee shop pastries til dinner. Mariott towel + soap?

At ASW, I stashed my bag at the meet market booth of a company I used to work for, and then after the meet market, it stayed in my room. It's a way to prevent useless swag from being thrown at me.

Some of the T Shirts are nice. The c2m ones are always kick ass. I always get compliments when I wear my Billy Mays one from ASE.

Other than that booze is always appreciated (again, c2m always has beer flowing.) Veema energy drinks aren't good, but definitely will get you through the convention.

You can't go wrong with notebooks, mints or pens. I just ran out of Clickbank mints from ASE and I'm moving on to the next batch (I forget from whom.)

Some places give you coupons for their service (until fucks like Zac Johnson steal them all. Piece of shit.) Facebook and Izea are two that I remember. They really should limit it one per person and scan you so you don't pull a Zac Johnson and raffle off your stolen coupons.

Oh one of my favorite things I received at ASE was like 5 bottles of Acai, some bottles of ResVeratrol, a couple Colon cleanse and some Green Tea from Karaktr. I started my own rebill with said bottles.

I won't even take those stupid joebucks (or any other tradeshow) bags that they must have ordered about 5 million of in 2004.
 
I met this Jamaican AM who told me if I ran volume with him he'd fly me to Jamaica and smoke me up on "the good shit"

Anyone see the cigar guy at ASE last year? I forgot the company but they had some workers hand-rolling cigars for you. That was sweet. Only problem is I kept coming back with fake noses and beards to get more, and between that and the keg, I got shit done.
