He claims he acted in self defense. I guess he really feared for his life when that shoe came at him.

Didn't you ever hear about the shoe bomber?

Or maybe she was trying an old ninja shoe trick where you distract them down low with a flying shoe while in the meantime you're sticking your middle and index fingers through their windpipe.

Watch Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, yo. Teenage girls who are trained in the ancient death arts can be highly unpredictable and deadly especially when on their periods or after a fight with their ex best friend who told everybody that she fucked Josh, Mike and Tim at a party when she really only fucked Mike and only blew Josh and that was like five days earlier, not on the same day.

I'm just glad she didn't take out the whole cop shop like Arnie in the first Terminator movie, except with her bare hands.

Seriously this guy is a fucking hero.

Obviously this guy was out of line. It's a stressful job, however, and we're quite literally working with the worst of the worst.

Where I work, we don't have weapons. We have our hands our heads and our communication skills.

Today, I noticed a 20-year-old "blood" who was fishing with the cell next to him. Due to overcrowding in our jail and the fact that the people who designed the housing units were idiots, this happens on a regular basis. The 20 year old blood was fishing stuff back and forth with an administratively segregated inmate from Sudan who likes to attack staff, cuts himself regularly, is mentally ill and can't be shipped back to where he came from by INS as a result.

So I notice the fishing going on and I head over to stop it. The inmate jumps on his bunk and pretends he's not doing anything. I open the door and notice that he's drawn gang insignia on his pants and shoes. They have to go.

So I tell him to give me the items and that he's going to move to a cell down the mod. He tells me to fuck off and seems to try to get the point across that he thinks I'm not hard. Not caring, I repeat my instructions to give me the pants and the shoes and get his stuff together to move.

So he says, "Ok hold on, I'll get you the pants." I know what's coming, but because we're a kinder, friendlier jail I pretty much just stand there as he takes off his pants and throws them at me, hitting me in the chest with them. I just smiled and said, "Now the shoes."

Oh how I wish I could have gone in there and handled shit. But I didn't.

Annoyed that I didn't give him the satisfaction of a response, the inmate refused to do anything else until a sergeant came. He was then coddled and convinced to move.

At least 20 percent of the people who are walked into our doors have some verifiable mental condition. A sizable portion have AIDS or HIV. We get assaulted on a regular basis, spit on and so forth. We have an administration who considers line staff as little better than the inmates themselves. I've personally had inmates threaten my wife and kids - graphically and in great detail as to how they'd find them. Repeatedly. With no support from the administration. If it wasn't for the union, I'm sure nothing would have been done.

My point is, jailing's hard work, mentally and physically. Until you've worked a few shifts with some of our more colorful customers, why don't you shut the fuck up about cop on inmate abuse. Yeah this was way out of line, but 99.9 percent of the time, the inmate is a complete dickhole and a good stomping would go a long way to correcting his attitude. You treat us with respect, and we'll go out of our way to make your stay a good one. Shit on us and we'll get shitty back. It's that simple.

In custody, unarmed, and half the guy's size. There's no excuse for the level of response.
I've had a few friends work in law enforcement, I'm aware it's a shitty job, so I'd the kind of guy that'd look the other way if he'd pimp slapped her in the face. It's still not right, not by a very long shot, and we should expect much better from our constabulary, but as a human reaction it'd be understandable.. but slamming her into a wall, kneeling on her back, punching her in the back of the head and then dragging her to her feet by her hair goes way beyond any line of what could be considered a reasonable reaction. It's not even self defence at that point.
The fac tthat the cop has previous history with this kind of over reaction really speaks volumes about it as well.
Honestly, if there isn't already, there should be some sort of annual psych evaluation and mandatory councelling (paid for, taken out of shift time) for those that fail. The last people you want going apeshit are the cops.

The judge and the jury choose the punishment, not you.

I have watched the shows on the prisons and jails, how ever much of that is true I don't doubt. But that's inside and you have to do what you have to do to keep inmates in line. I'm not saying their aren't some bad mofos in there.

This is on the street however with a 15 yr old girl, unacceptable.

It was in jail. Not on the street.

And yes, it was unacceptable.

I'll tell you what, though. We see people at their shittiest. They come in drunk, high, emotionally wrung out because the cops beat the shit out of them putting them in the back of the patrol car. They're pissed, they're dying to lash out at anyone with a uniform, so when they're told to sign here please so we can put your property safely away, they take a swing at an officer or the nice 19-year-old college girl we have behind a desk who does intake.

We hit a guy hard, throw him on the ground and tell him to stop resisting and put his hands behind his back. He turtles - putting his hands under his body and refusing to follow directions to allow us to regain control - now he's exhibiting passive resistance. So we start hitting him in key points to overwhelm his motor control with temporarily disabling pain - again so we can handcuff this guy and regain control of the situation without anyone getting hurt. He starts kicking, so we up the level of control a little bit. Now he's being actively aggressive, so we start knee strikes and control his head, putting some weight on his back so he feels that he's lost control.

Usually they start loudly screaming that they can't breathe, which makes me laugh because in order to scream, you've got to be breathing.

This happens every single day in our jail.

I don't know a single officer I work with who wouldn't look in disgust at someone who slapped a 15-year-old girl around like this - but I'll tell you what...15-year-olds are pretty damn annoying when they know they hold all the cards. At the youth center, they've had several "guards" there get jumped and the crap kicked out of them by a few kids working together. This could have something to do with the fact that the officers working at the youth center are not trained to do what has to be done to regain control over the situation - they're trained to hug the inmates until they feel emotionally secure.

Seriously.

The judge and the jury choose the punishment, not you.

We're not choosing punishment. We're regaining control over a potentially volatile security situation.

We operate on the 1+1 tactical scale. This has been completely approved nationwide, legally.

Level of resistance shown by the inmate < Level of force used by the officer

Inmate gives you glares or tries to intimidate you, you can give verbal commands
Inmate ignores verbal commands, you can put hands on him in order to enforce those directives. Not hit, but escort, use pain compliance holds, etc.
Inmate goes limp, so you can use pressure points to inflict pain until compliance
Inmate that pulls away is considered defensively resistant, so you can use strikes and takedowns to regain control
Inmate strikes, kicks, etc, you're able to use anything to protect yourself or another inmate
Inmate has a weapon, or displays the threat of inflicting severe bodily harm he could potentially become dead.

1+1 and it's totally authorized - necessary to retain control of a jail and prevent harm to officers and other inmates.

OMG this is a dope post -
her parents shoulda done that shit to her b4 she got into the whole situation - theres a moral here - beat ur kids lest they get beat by authorites

Be reasonable and have some sympathy. He has a tough job. I think I speak for most when I say I would understand if he would have anally raped her with a taser gun.
Same thing goes for garbage men. They have shitty jobs and have to deal with garbage every day too. They deserve a little anal raping here and there.

What 2 sides of each story?
The video speaks louder than any story.
Nothing in the world that she could've said made her earn that kind of treatment.

The other fat fascist pig should also be on trial for not helping her.

I wonder what happens in these assholes' houses behind closed doors!
