We're not choosing punishment. We're regaining control over a potentially volatile security situation.

No one doubt's you do a highly stressful and volatile job, we applaud you for that. This situation is a little different however. You've quite simply got a cop who's taking his anger out on a 15 year old girl and that can't be justified in any way. Hell, if it was a 15 year old boy who actively prompted the beatdown I doubt people here would be so sympathetic.

The thing that pisses me off the most is the several previous incident's which clearly show this guy doesn't have the ability to be a safe police officer. If this guy get's sued, they should also look into who made the decision to keep him on after his numerous fuckups.

Oh, and someone mentioned about leave them with one shoe on. I'm guessing they have to take the shoes off to prevent hangings by shoelace, particularly by minors.

Does it mention what she was in there for? For all we know she could have been arrested for resisting arrest/assaulting a police officer.

The girl was under arrest for taking her mother's car without permission.

This cop is a hot head and does not need to be on our streets protecting us. Hopefully he spends some time in prison and will never wear a police uniform again. He was also pulled over for a DUI while on administrative leave in 2006.

This is not the way an 8 year veteran should be behaving and is a disgrace to law enforcement.

Right. Like I said, this incident is completely unacceptable.

Unions are good and they are bad. They protect good cops, but they protect popular bad cops way too often.

Without a police union, I guarantee you'd be seeing a lot more of this kind of thing. I couldn't tell you how often administrators try to fuck over officers.

One of the checks they make to see if someone's suicidal is if it's that person's first time in jail and if they're young. Both are high probability indicators.

I think its more a sensitive issue because is was a girl/woman. Some of the women these days just run their mouths off and do what they want. Which is totally fine by me, its still a free country. The problem happens when you do it to the wrong person. They're quickly reminded that there's crazy people out there. Rihanna found this out just recently.

Now that Chris Brown's career is in the shitter maybe he should join the police academy.

I've always felt that most men become police officers for one main reason - to have power over others. I'm not saying that there aren't some that join the force for altruistic reasons, but from what I've seen, most male police officers fit a certain mold.

It's like the need to have that power given to them with a badge and gun, because they can't get power or respect any other way.
