Come on, there is no reason to lie about it. Let's not kid ourselves here, if given the chance, you would gladly give him $500 and your house boat just to run traffic with you.
Highly doubt he's dodging you for $500, probably just got lost in translation. Vito's a good guy and has always came through for me. Shoot him an email admin AT own DOT eu. He's on my Skype I'll shoot him a message for you.
I originally thought the same...it just seemed absolutely crazy to me that he wouldn't ship over the $500 considering I was an affiliate with 300k in verified revenue (sent screenshots of most of my stats) that had just applied to his new network OWN.
I've tried contacting him multiple times via skype and the admin email address, all after many months of diplomatic emails between him and the network manager without any success.
If Vito is able to pay my account balance I'd be more than happy to say this was all just a "lost in translation" type thing.
Okay I will lie no more, I will be honest on a few points.
First and most important I do not know Vito and he may pay and be a great network, However closing for a few weeks because of financial issues and coming back as a new network would be enough for me to stay the hell away especially if I was running 150k else where.
Second, If I made 300k revenue I would not be wasting time making a post about $500, Instead I would be having my lawyer draft up a letter with a deadline along with lawyers cost to draft said letter, and if the deadline is not met I would take them to court for unpaid fee's, Damages, and all court cost. Where I would get evidence where i ran $150k to that offer with no complaints from previous network or advertiser.
Unless I am bullshitting about the $150k and $300k figures and really just trying to scare them into a payment.
I told the phone company to just move on, they make billions so why do they need my $30?
They mumbled something about being a real business and need to collect on their debts or otherwise everyone would take them for a ride.
It's not that i don't understand what you're saying...but...
1.) every bit does actually matter especially since this is not an isolated incident. A couple thousand here, $500 there, blah blah and before you know you've been F*cked out of 15k in profits in a single year (a true story for me...and yes, I consider 15k a lot of money).
2.) Writing in the forums doesn't really take that long and it's a decent way to vent. I'm not saying my actions are totally rational in terms of a $/hour thing...but honestly I'm just F*cking annoyed at networks owned by people pretent like they are legit business owners
3.) As a community it seems like a decent thing to do to warn others about shady networks/owners who just don't pay out and then go completely MIA. Who knows how much affiliate money could have been saved if people had gone ape-shit in the forums warning about EWA. This thread has already been viewed a decent number of times, and maybe that's warned off a hand full of people
After trying to collect a payment owed for nearly a year now Vito finally blocked me on Skype and a few other social media outlets and reneged on the promise he made to me that he would pay me. Fuck this guy! I will definitely be spreading the word of what a piece of shit he is to others in the future.
