CPL offers woes

I've been running a midly "successful" content network campaign for a month now, not much volume (200ish clicks/day, adwords content network CTR ~ 0.20%) but ROI around 70%. It's laughable I know, but I've been playing around for a couple months only, with limited time as I have a day job (excuses, excuses).

My only problem is that I spend a lot of time and money finding a decent CPL offer with an EPC of $0.10, and when I find it, I get either heavily shaved or asked to stop bringing traffic to the offer because it's not converting well enough on their end. I'm not sure what to do next :
- Bring better traffic quality : I'm not sure it's feasible, the offer is clearly mentionned on my LP, so people clicking on it are at least curious about it.
- Continue testing a bunch of offers : Until now, I've not been able to find a CPL offer with an EPC over $0.07 AND for which I'm not either shaved or told to stop. Either I didn't test enough (20ish CPL offers so far in various niches) or I can't hope to convert better than this period.
- Try to lower adwords CPC ($0.07 - $0.05 right now depending on placements). I might kill the remaining traffic I have, those clicks are already cheap for CPL offers, no ?!
- Kill the campaign alltogether and move on. I thought about this, but this is the only campaign out of 20 which was at least breaking even AND still getting some traffic after lowering bids.
- Click on flying penises until I convert.

I hope this post doesn't sound too DPish.

Sounds like email/zip submits...best bet is to just try finding some real offers with higher payouts.

that is cheap for cpl adwords and the shaving can be a drag. testing is the only real option here I would say. you're not alone in this one. if the offer is clearly stated like you said and you are getting the clicks then it's the lp. look to see if the lp's have something in common. if so then look for an lp's that go the other direction. hope that helps.
