CPM Networks, 13 Million PageViews/Month

My friend is asking me to help him better monetize a very targeted site that gets 13 million pageviews per month. I want to look at getting him in a strong CPM network and then monetizing/optimizing his excess inventory via aff networks, adsense, etc...

What CPM networks are best for this kind of traffic? I know its hard to "get in" to the big ones. And any thoughts/strategies you would consider?
 


correct me if i'm wrong but aren't those dime a dozen, bottom of the barrel CPM networks? I want to get him on some more exclusive type-ish network that'll offer premium CPM rates based on brand equity.

The site is in the general topic area of "education"
 
Here are some options. I can't really say they were big revenue earners for my sites, but they might be worth looking at:

valueclick
pubmatic
right media exchange

If this site is a social app you could check out rockyou, socialmedia, etc.

They are generally bottom of the barrel until a big advertiser wants to do a media buy on that specific site, then you can get some nice CPM's. It only works if the site is truly targeted as you said, the ad space is well placed (ATF, not too saturated with ads) and is worth advertising on.

If it is a specific niche (such as organic shit) you can join a niche CPM network such as Naturalpathmedia.com. You'll get some insane CPM ($20+) if you're niche is good.
 
Tribal Fusion, Casale Media, Valueclicks are the big 3 in CPM advertising. If his site is really high quality then give Gorilla Nation a try. The bottom feeders are the RM networks like CPXinteractive.
