craigslist ads not publishing

Has anyone had this problem before? i tried using different ads and different emails, even using Tor to get a different IP, but the ads don't seem to show up craigslist. I'm publishing them through email, but they just don't show up on the craigslist website.

Any way to get around this?
 


Something is causing you to ghost. Are you using an image? If so that is probably it. They've just cracked down on images in the last couple of days. Some are getting through but most get ghosted.

EDIT...what is TOR? a proxy site? Is it free? Most free proxy sites don't work on CL.
 
Its actually a proxy program that is installed on my firefox browser. I guess from what you're saying, that shouldnt work either.

If they are cracking down on images, I guess there are other things I can promote.
 
No images (at least until you can figure out the rules) watch any links. And switch to dial up or aircard for the IP.

Thanks. I dont use links in my post, I know better than that.

Is there a way I can change my IP (free or paid) thats in the U.S. and isnt blocked by craigslist?

are you using a link in your ad? a real live clickable link?

if so, thats the problem. You do too many ads ( current or from the past ) that contain the same URL, your gonna get ghosted.

Most of the times ghosting happens for this reason:

1. Same URL used many times ( current or from past ads ).
2. over use of images ( this use to be helpful actually in the past ).
3. same text i all ads.
4. proxies.
5. too many postings from same IP.
6. more then xxx amount of postings in same account in a 24 hour period.

I know this has worked in the past to get around ghosting/flagging if you want to show a link in your ad.

Type out the link URL in MS Paint (Photoshop, whatever) and save it as an image file.

Use that image file in your ad.

It's not clickable, but it's there in plain sight for people to see & type in and it avoids the automatic penalty for links.

Now you just have to figure out how to include images w/out getting ghosted/flagged :)
 
Are people still able to get their images up with public hosting (aka photobucket..imageshack...etc)?

I think all of the major photo hosting/sharing sites will cause your ads to be ghosted immediately.

You could host images on your own domain(s), though, and copy/paste into your ads for EAP that way.
 
I found a service that allows me to have access to a computer is a central remotely, and this computer can get the switch to change IPs within the US.

But lately, even with that my ads where not appearing.

I'd create a an account from a new IP and and post 4-5 ads in different cities with the ad having different titles & text each time.

I really am lost for ideas. If I post different posts in different cities using the same account, it should be ok? Or am i limited to one post / account / city?

This service also has a script to automate, but if I have to switch accounts too often it defeats the purpose. :(
