Creating a Large Blog Network

Does anyone know how to go about putting up hundreds of wordpress blogs simultaneously (or at least super fast) in order to create a huge private blog network like linkvana or buildmyrank?

I know I want aged domains, preferably with some page rank and a lot of existing backlinks, and that each needs its dedicated c class server so they don't expose each other- the only thing I'm lost on is how to develop all these wordpress blogs quickly. Is there a way, or do you think all of these other networks went about building the blogs one by one?

There's another way to do it, but you would have to ditch wordpress completely. Not sure if that's up your alley...
