Credit card to fly for free all the fucking time?

What makes it even more confusing is that not all cards have the same point schedule. Like for instance with Capital One you get 2 points per dollar spent but then it costs twice as many points to get your flights. That's how they get you.

Search up Travel Hacking - and status matching.

Combine with a Hotel rewards chain and you're golden.

Be prepared to do lots of reading.

Ok, the best by - by far - for cash back is Fidelity American Express. It gives you 2% cash back - in the form of cash deposited to your Fidelity Brokerage account. You don't have to invest that money with Fidelity. You can transfer it back to your bank account.

I say it's the best one because you can spend the cash anywhere, at any time.

Plum gives you 1.5% discount on your credit card bill...but 2% CASH BACK is better IMO.

No annual fees, no reward limit, no category restrictions.

I agree that the Plum Card is no longer the best cash back card. The only reason I still use it is because it has no limit and I like being able to make $20-40k charges on the card without having to worry about hitting a credit limit.

If Capital One or Fidelity gave me an unlimited limit (or a $100,000+ limit) I'd be using them for everything.

Well if you got approved for PLUM, I'd assume you'd get approved for a pretty high limit with Fidelity.

Capital One Venture gives a 2% cashback that can be redeemed for gift cards/travel and is especially useful at merchants that only accept Visa. They have 2 miles per dollar and each mile can be redeemed for 1 cent worth of gift card or 1 cent worth of expenses at merchants that are coded as travel (airlines, hotels, car rental, etc).

Fucking rep restrictions- I owe you one.

This right here, motherfuckers. Get the cashola, the mostest the bestest. 2% right into cash mgmt, put it wherever you need it.

I buy all my shit with this, and I can get my airfare cheaper on my own, thank you. Show me the fucking money, instead.

Tell me where else I can rake off a fat extra 2 points clear profit without lifting a fucking finger. Tell Me.

Since no one mentioned it yet I am pretty loyal to my Chase British Airways card. Sign up bonus a few years back was 200k miles which was 2 RT flights to London from the States. I did some of my old PPC traffic through it traveled the world on free flights for a year and I still have 160k miles.

Since they are a one world partner I always few AA domestically for free. Miami to Cincinnati to visit family was only 16k miles RT.

FlyerTalk said that the BA card is amazing for shorter flights and domestic. Which is true since BA miles don't scale well with the zones they have. Miami to Sydney was 50k miles OW on BA but with AA miles it was only 35K.

So if there is some crazy sign up bonuses I would get a AA card and/or a BA card. If there were no signs ups at all I would get a Amex or Chase Ultimate Rewards since both can be moved to airline miles on select carriers.

This is what I use as well. I also have a Capital One card that gives 2% cash back but the lack of any hard credit limits makes the Plum Card easier to work with.

Bump on this, b/c I'm looking to pull the trigger on one of these. I was originally looking at Plum card, with 1.5% cashback and a $250 annual fee. The CapitalOne Spark card caught my eye, as it has has 2% cashback and only $59 annual fee. On paper, the Spark card is actually looking pretty good.

Anyone have additional insight to whether Plum vs Spark card would be a better choice?

The chase ink bold is a damn good card once you learn how to play the game with it. Office supply stores are your friend.

He means buying a shit load of prepaid cards from staples and then loading those cards onto American Express Bluebird and cutting himself a check which he cashes and then pays the Chase bill with.

More than one way to skin a cat but this is obviously one way to maximize your 50k spend.
