CTR and QS question

Does your CTR improve your QS relative to your ad position?

in other words if i'm in spot 6 and my CTR is 2% will that have the same benefit for my QS as a 15% CTR in position 2?

I've always read that your CTR is "normalized" per ad position. So, your CTR in position 2 won't count towards your CTR in position 6. At least in Google anyways. I'm not sure about YSM or AdCenter.

The better the CTR the lower your clicks CAN cost you.

I do not believe it has much to do with QS, other than a GOOD AD gets you a GOOD CTR.

anyway yes, i would think that is correct, they dont expect you to have a 15% ctr in position 6, if you have a higher ctr than you are expected to have in position 6, i would think your CPC would drop.
