Ever heard? "Cyber Monday" (the Monday following Black Friday) is supposedly the busiest shopping day of the year for online retailers.

I don't remember it being that busy this time last year, mid-december is when it hits.

Monday will be my most profitable day ever. Then again, Tuesday will be too also.

Other annoying buzzwords include: web 2.0, SOA, TLA, folksonomy, social network, squeeze page, marketing 2.0, tag, social bookmark, scalability

We all guilty of using them at one point or another.

After cyber monday passes we will hear the usual PR hype from all the major news networks...blah blah cyber monday sales hit record high..blah blah up 27% from 2005..online retailing biggest thing since sliced bread...cyber monday sales to exceed $23 trillion...If you didn't buy anything on cyber monday you are a neanderthal.

Whatever you call it, whether you feed into the hype or not, it's all just a gimmick - but people LOVE that. Xmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter, anything they can market the crap out of and get consumers to spend on they will. I guess maybe the weekend was for family time, shopping together, blah blah blah while today when things have calmed down a bit is the time to get the stuff your wife pointed to while you were together on the weekend.

I havn't seen any real deals. It's mostly just free shipping.

sales are definitely up i just wasn't planning on ppl ordering more than 6 of certain products in single orders. I've been on the damn phone with suppliers all day. This really sucks!

I'll chalk this up to poor seasonal planning on my part. Live and learn then get luvs.
