Damn if only I had no morals ...

Umh, this isn't that new.. Better just iframe an email submit in something like this:
7Jhct.jpg

fake the referrer and profit.

Not that I'm going to try to do this, I'm just curious - what's so shady about this? He's linking them directly to the offer instead of making them go through a landing page first? Or is the neobux site the one that's doing the scam? Confused as fuark

Okay, I think I maybe get it - an affiliate is advertising this offer on neobux... but making it look like the users come from his landing page instead of from neobux. But why's that bad?

If you paid me to provide you with leads for your pool cleaning business, and I sent you a bunch of leads who were interested in making money from home, how would you feel?

How about if I forged the referrer to make it look like all of the leads came from "BestPoolCleaner.com" while they were actually coming from an ad that read "Click Here and Get $2500/month For Life!"?

See what's going on?

I'm guessing the deceptive ad and the traffic quality that will result from it.

i can see this would be very easy money, but wouldn't the advertiser blacklist a publisher fairly quickly with such shitty leads?

You'd be surprised at how oblivious many advertisers are to fraud, or even just managing their subids for that matter. With many big companies you could be losing them money for months before they even notice.

On top of that, people doing these kinds of scams do lots of little things to make it last as long as possible. They will 1) spread out the traffic among lots of different accounts so no one account raises a red flag 2) mix in legit traffic so overall the quality is better etc.

Yeah I see now; I didn't notice that his ad was misleading at first. It had me a bit worried since I've tried to use PPC with CPA offers (direct linking to them) in the past. Made me absolutely no money, but hey.

Direct linking via ppc is fine provided you use legal ad copy. If it's profitable that's another matter.

i must be missing something. the site they are promoting is offering to pay money to people for filling out surveys.

the affiliate is grossly overestimating the amount the user can make but still...

how is this any different than a flog claimin a stay at home mom makes $7,342 every day posting links on google?

hmmmmm I got a few hundred craigslist accounts I dont really use, wonder if something like this could work, lol - never tried cpa for other companies tho

"Just for fun I did a little digging into this particular scammer, and I see that he’s doing this on a pretty decent scale with various offers and different affiliate networks. I’m sure he’s profiting at least $1,000+ a day, and believe it or not that’s just the tip of the iceberg."

It looks like were in the wrong business then... I mean if hes making money, who the fuck cares? Don't be a hater though right? Good for him for finding a way to profit

As someone who buys leads daily, it fucking sucks when people do this. I usually bitch and get a refund, or call the bank and R10 payment. He cant be making that much money tho, because if after a few hundred bucks I didnt see closure on the leads I'd cut his ass off.

Ok, but wouldn't a survey company be reselling those cold (survey) leads down the line? If that's the case, they really don't have any way or need of knowing if they will convert or not, they just mark them up and move them out.
