Damn this sucks, I knew this day would come, the last few months I've just been waiting to get the e-mail I got today from my AM. They can't afford to payout at this rate anymore they're losing tons of money and to stop promoting their sites.

After I lost my job last April, I started getting into affiliate marketing full time. Found this website, and started learning as much as possible all day and night 7 days a week. I still consider myself a noob since I have a bad learning curve, lazyness, hate reading (except forums of course and anything non-educational).

In July and still not having a job and a budget of $7 a day and trying to run 2 affiliate programs in PPC and making about a $100 a month. I found this dating network, by October I was making about $3000-$4000 a month net profit. The most I've made in my entire life since I'm a loser and didn't go to school like I should have and being a drunk and druggie, my parents don't want me near their business.

This was my only source of income, and now I'll probably have to go and try to get a job which is difficult since I don't have a clear background. My insomnia makes it impossible to wake up for a first shift job. I've gotten fired a couple times for being late in the morning. I'm going to continue with affiliate marketing as much as I can with what money I have until it runs out. I definately got lucky from finding this offer it had nothing to do with skill, so that's why I doubt I'll continue to be successful in affiliate marketing.

Well, I knew this day would come, just new it was too good to be true even told my AM once I hope they're making sales as well. I had a feeling that they could have trouble succeeding. They were paying too high for a free sign up. Whenever I would speak about affiliate marketing to people I knew, I always mentioned, do to the nature of this business, one day you're doing well and the next day you're not. Well, here is that day.

Damn, I just spent the entire weekend and investing about $500 into a blog for one of their sites. Just started a heavy backlink campaign, daily blog posting, etc.. all for nothing!

I guess I better get started learning WP autoblogging, rss scraping, and cycle sites.

:(

If you pulled that kind of cash you can easily replicate it. That sucks that they are going to stiff you though. I'm sure it will all work out. Good luck.

Jesus dude, that sucks. But don't be so down on yourself! Bubbles is 100% correct, if you did it once, you can do it again.

My advice is to just bust your ass and cut your costs as much as possible. This round, diversify. That way if the shit hits the fan again, you won't feel it as hard.

Why didn't you save money for the rainy days? I am making sure I have enough money to my name where I can afford not to work for a few months. Also, bad mistake putting all your eggs in one basket. You should have milked that shit for what ii is worth while jumping to new/additional ideas. I hate to say it, but this is entirely your fault

That sucks.. But You are very smart. You are picking up everything very quickly (I'm a little jealous :) ) Just don't give up and you'll do it again.

And keep it moderate on the drinking, (which might be hard after this bad news) I've noticed it seems to have tapered and you seem to get alot more accomplished when that happens.

Good Luck.

Yeah, don't put all your eggs in one basket. I'm sure you can find another network with a similiar offer. You already have the traffic. Capitalize on it, don't let it die off. Its hard to pick up a campaign that has been left alone for too long.

Sometimes, on Content Network, you can't get your ads approved the 2nd time if you pause and resume the campaign. No idea why, but Google works in mysterious ways.

All the best.

Care to share the payout? Unless you've been getting paid $6-10 for a profile, you shouldn't have any problem finding another dating program.

I don't believe he is saying the Affiliate Company is at fault for him not getting paid/offer is expiring (BTW- which is it? Cause you make it seem like an Affiliate Network is fucking you when I think the company you were promoting has gone under/offer no longer available)

Sucks dude, but move on.... There are tons of other offers out there... and TONS of different ways to advertise/market/make a ton of money online... You've seen it first hand man... make this shit boom! Don't crawl into a corner and cry...

No the company didn't do anything wrong, and they aren't going to stiff me on my payments. I'm still getting paid, I guess I worded my thread wrong. They can't afford to pay ANYMORE as in as of now they have to shut down their sites. I'm still going to get paid for what I've earned. I'm just pissed off that it was my only source of income.

To some of the other comments and to *loyolabenson*, I did not put all my eggs all in the same basket, you have no idea how much I have been trying to be successful with other afffiliate programs since I started. I wasn't living in a fantasy world thinking that my life has been set since I found this affiliate program. I was always constantly working trying to be successful with other affiliate programs so that when this day would come like I said I knew it would. I would have something else to fall back on. I knew that I was lucky and wasn't do to skills. Deep down I knew I got lucky finding an affiliate program that wasn't saturated. No matter how much this past 6 months I've been working with affiliate marketing, I just wasn't able to succeed with any other affiliate program or any other idea I tried. I went through every possible search engine voucher I could until I was just so burned out on creating accounts and trying to find a good offer. Trust me, I was NOT sitting back and not doing anything this whole time. I did mention that I knew this day would come.

I've tried all kinds of offers, I've only been working with PPC at this time. I'm not going to stop working and finding new avenues, I just started my first blog this past week for orgranic searches. I'll try another affiliate program on the blog, but I'll only get paid for premium memberships and not for a free sign up. This blog is going to take a while to appear in searches and being my first SEO project, don't know how it's going to do or if I'll be able to rank for the important keywords.

I did try to make as much money as I possibly could, I kept getting better and making more money by every paycheck, I went to all the top search engines (except Google no matter how much I tried I couldn't get the traffic at a reasonable bid or get converisons) and 2nd tier. Even if I could make a couple dollars a day from a source that was good enough since it all adds up at the end of the month.

It just worries me since I've been working as hard as possible for 6 months and I was only able to find 1 offer to succeed with or making a living from. Oh well, it was a good experience anyway, not having to work for 6 months, waking up when I want, not doing anything except for smoking weed, drinking, watching tv, and internet marketing. It was too good to be true, it had to end some time.

I have a few projects to work on, I'll start working closer with Copeac, they're good to their affiliates, I'll see how it goes, but in the mean time I suppose I should start looking for a job.

One of the benefits of working with an affiliate network is guaranteed payments, if your affiliate network doesn't guarantee you'll be paid, find someone else to work with.

Lots of advertisers stiff affiliates and networks. Most networks only pay if they get paid, its something called sequential liability (Google it). I believe that only a small handful (maybe 5) of networks will pay you regardless of if the advertiser pays them. You should work with these networks only. Dont be enticed by high payouts but rather if the money will come to you, a bird in the hand is worth more than two in two bush.

However it doesn't mean that if you defraud the offer you'll get paid, the guaranteed payments usually stops at fraud.

I'm glad you edited your previous post...

But I still wanted to call you a pussy for saying what you did originally...

This kind of thinking is going to get you NO WHERE...

Actually that's the type of thinking that got me into internet marketing, but I'm kinda crazy anyway.

I've seen plenty of $5+ dating site signups. The hardest part for me was always getting the traffic. Apparently you can get the traffic, so do something with it.

Don't give up. Nothing's better than not having a boss. Nothing.

I haven't been able to find another offer that's not saturated that will make money. I suppose it's since I'm not clever enough to compete with other affiliates.

Thank you for your kind words, but you and I both know I'm not REALLY smart, I'm really just a jackass.

You said your niche was dating.... That is a saturated market. Just use a different offer. If it worked with the old offer I don't see why it wouldn't work with the new one.
