Are these even worth it? I'm using MSN, Adwords, and 7search and it seems like I'm barely breaking even to make a single sale. I end up having to spend $22 to make a $25 sale. Granted, I've only been testing this offer for about 3 days, should I try traffic sources elsewhere?

the niche is specifically "black dating" and I'm promoting afro introductions (cupid media) and black singles mostly, so the landing page I made, is pretty much design for black dating related - should I try to push cpl offers as opposed to commission sales?

Dating is one of my favorite niches to work with - and it's very profitable and totally scalable. It's one of the easiest campaigns, in my opinion, to get started on as a new affiliate.

I always guide my new guys in EWA to start with them there, help them out, etc. It's especially easy on social traffic.

Alright, I'll be helpful.

Just think of it this way: The hardest part of any sale or lead generation is convincing your target to take out their credit card. Think from the perspective of your target audience (and remember that we're in a recession): Is you landing page persuasive enough that they'll pay money for the service? If not, try finding a dating site that gives free trials (and I mean "free" as in "doesn't require you to pay anything up front").

YOU'RE WRONG ALEXB, DATING IS AWESOME
Yes I know, dating is one of my favorite niches. The guy had 3 posts and I enjoy being an ass.

IMO, unless you can figure out a really good, cheap source of desperately single morons, like the MMORPG community, I recommend you stick to the lead-gen / free sign ups.

That said, why not actually do that. Split test the both of them, and see which gives you a better EPC.
Bigger payouts sound nice, but if you have to spend 86% of your revenue, then the equation doesn't seem like a good one to me.

Capitalize on the fact there are few black singles dating sites. Do some research, go into blogs and find a niche(cliche). On your landing page market what's hot whether its ringtones or just go for that particular demographic(age group) to African Americans. Think outside the box.
