Alright, so I've done some demographic research for my niche and figured out pretty much who, what income level, what age, etc searches for it. Now, I'm building a landing page around the offer and working to hopefully turn this into something profitable (duh!)

What I'm wondering is this - Knowing who likes this stuff, how can I figure out how to build the landing page to attract them? Is this something I should look at similar industry LPs and look at those? How do I know they are even making money?

If I sound like a moron and am missing something very basic, I'm sorry, but I'm really confused what to do next. I'm truly working to build this campaign strong from the ground up and do plan to test, but the more testing I can eliminate from the beginning will be the less invested at the beginning (in my opinion).

If you have any help it would be great.

Did that. How can I use that information though? They like products/services there so build pages around those?

I'm just wondering if there's something I'm missing or if all I have left to do really is test different designs or whatever...

Thx :)

Your design itself needs to fall in line with the particular niche you're going into. Your content needs to target the audience directly and convince them why this particular offer is right for them.

Basically, the design isn't as important as your call to action etc.. As long as you have a somewhat clean and easy to navigate design you'll be fine. Focus on your content and wording.

For the most part, the only time your design should effect your success is the overall style of the page (eg. Review style, Short/Thin, Full Article.)

Hope this helps.

@Spades - Kind of - Basically you're saying that if I'm marketing to 12-17 age I should write like this "lol so like i like DLed these bomb ringtonez 4 my fone and like" etc?

While promoting to college educated people, be sure to use appear intelligent all the while convincing them (whoever I market) that they need said product?

Right. You want the visitor to be able to relate to your content and offer. Obviously you want to choose an offer that they can relate to right off the bat BUT the more targeted your landing page is the more success you'll have.

Targeting and marketing to a smaller group within your target group usually turns out better results, they feel as if it's personalized for them. An obvious example would be one of those "Debt Relief for Woman" offers floating around the networks.

With a little imagination you'll realize there's a shitload of opportunity in what I like to call the "micro-audiences".

When it comes to the graphic design side of thing, go out and buy a few magazines aimed at that demographic. Magazine advertisements are pretty much lockstep with their website counterparts, and will usually have the URL in there somewhere as well.
$7.95 is a good investment for basic examples of designs that someone else has already paid thousands of dollars to demographically test ;)
