I love this shit. A family member became a police officer today, I'm going to show her every video like this as much as I can.

If you are a lawyer you can(will) own officers.

I'd say he's awesome if he was not a lawyer.

guy with gun is a normal pretentious know it all...

just show him your permit get it over with stop wasting time...

cop is responding to someone calling them to tell them a man is walking around with a gun...

how did he abuse his power? I know some states they would of pulled their gun on him

you guys are right.. the cop should of waited to see if he was going to open fire on someone... would of made for a much better story

you're missing the point. why doesn't the cop know the laws they're meant to enforce? why should he have to show him a permit if he's not presenting a threat beyond owning a weapon?

no... you are missing the point... someone reported a man walking around with a gun.

you think he doesnt have the right to ask for his permit?... the cop realizes this guy is just a time waster know it all and is too much of a pussy to ever do anything

In a state with open carry laws, this call does not require the police to respond unless the witness reports someone brandishing a weapon.

Overzealous law enforcement personnel can't pass up an opportunity to exercise their authority over the citizenry, though.

Guys a douche bag just cuz you can spout off some laws doesn't mean you should That cop didn't have an attitude so he shouldn't have given him one. Why was his gun visible enough that it caused the police to be called? Did he want to make a scene for his YT video? To bad they couldnt haul his ass to jail for being a dick

people like this are looking to fight with authority... they have nothing better to do with their lives and they feel validated...

yes i fought the system!!! now let me go back to my shitty life and think of how else i can prove to the internet how much smarter i am than everyone

gun must of been brandished for someone to be calling no? dont be retarded and say omg i hate cops... b/c someone breaks into your house you're wetting your pants calling the cops to clean it up

Seems like the citizen in the above video was minding his own business when an officer of the law attempted to intimidate him into providing information for no reason. I don't think he left the house thinking "I'm going to carry my weapon today, and I really hope some cop fucks with me so I can show off my extensive knowledge of the 4th amendment"

Rather, it's likely that this individual has been forced to familiarize himself with the legal precedents surrounding search and seizure in order to prevent having his constitutional rights trampled by people who have as much familiarity with the constitution as your average 8th grader.

you do realize when someone calls the cops... they dont teleport there... sure the guy was minding his own business when they showed up...

BUT THEY WERE CALLED TO INVESTIGATE IT

in the video he was saying he reads this shit online... he is a fucking pretentious know it all... he would rather waste 10 minutes feeling like he is the man than the 5 seconds it is to produce the license

ok im done

Look, they are your rights. If you are too apathetic/submissive to exercise them, that's up to you. This guy wasn't and I'm glad to see it.
