Determining Google Serach Vol Given a KW List?

Just a quick question, given a huge list of kws is there a way to get Google's estimated search volume for each kw in the list, without manually doing it through Google's kw tool?

I've tried to paste a small portion of the list into the keyword tool and it changes most of the kws and produces other related kws instead. I've also tried the Traffic estimator but it doesnt seem to give a good estimate in comparison to the kw tool's search volume.

ie. the kw tool says there is 100k search, traffic estimator with $10/kw bid and $5k daily buget still doesnt reflect 100k search even if the ad position for the estimator is 1-3.

The gist of it all: Is there a way I can get Google's search volume estimates as it is provided by the Keyword Tool for a list of pregenerated kws?

Any suggestions would be awesome

Step 1: https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal?defaultView=1

Step 2: Click the "Filter my results" link and check "Don't show ideas for new keywords. I only want to see data about the keywords I entered."

Step 3: PROFIT

I wished it were as easy as inserting a list and getting results, I worked my arse off to get this stuff in a logical / organized manner.

The problem you're going to have running this through the adwords tool is

1. you have to enter the captcha for every term, doing terms singularly is going to be a PITA

2. the related and alternative results will have other words in your list ... that's good but without a database & program build specifically to deal with this you'll be fighting an uphill battle.

Making things more challenging, different data centers will return (slightly) different results so you'll never get a finite data ... but you should be considering them estimates anyways.

Looking a bit further into your problem: The final piece of the puzzle is getting your competition ... if you've got estimated CPC & volume, you need to find out competition so you can pick and choose your battles (keywords)

nice, thanks RuDeDoGg, i use the keyword tool so much i overlooked the filter all the time lol

erect, i definitely know what you mean. through the filter option it only asked me for less than 5 captchas for the volume of the list. competitor wise i pulled a list off spyfu to start with, which is why currently i'm most interested in the kw volume first. to see which are even worth bothering.

i really wish google could setup an excel type plugin like adcenter has.
