How do they get their laptops to come out of hibernation that fast? I wanna know, I can't get mine to do that evar...

It's a macbook, most likely with SSD. I got that model, they probably didn't have it in hibernation, since you can simply close the lid, and it doesn't go into sleep or hibernation, unless you tell it to or press sleep. On mine, I got Virtual Memory turned off, so everything is in RAM - 8GB. So it just turns on, even without SSD.

Or, it's a tv show.

You people have it go into hibernation when you close the lid?

How primitive. I bet you still look for where to insert the stamps every time you email, too. ;)

They need one of these:

Betavoltaic Battery: Scientists Invent 30 Year Continuous Power Laptop Battery

Your next laptop could have a continuous power battery that lasts for 30 years without a single recharge thanks to work being funded by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory."

BTW, I guess we know where "some" of the NASA money went to now.

Gods hairy balls, man! That deserves a thread of it's own.

Beta decay and Radioisotopes though? I don't care how many times they claim it's "not radioactive," that shit sounds radioactive on some level... Go start up a new thread about that and we'll get PJ in it to figure out the radioactivity issue.

Edit: Nevermind, a bit of googling shows that this is very likely a pump-and-dump hoax.

Sounds like you're worried about sitting the laptop on top of your lap.

:p

In all fairness, the heat coming from a regular laptop has chances of messing up your testicles as well with regular exposure.

"so beta brah"

Not at all; I'd be "worried" that people wouldn't buy a product that sounds like it is radioactive, and therefore it wouldn't get made at all.

It's called Marketing psychology, bro. Kinda useful stuff around here.
