Dubya goes to the Anwar during the beginning of the Iraq war and is greeted by a bunch of GIs uberpumped to get 'real action' and 'avenge' 9/11.
Obama goes to North Carolina and greets GIs who are facing second, third, fourth and fifth tours in Iraq to tell them the shithole is gonna last a little longer.
Marines pumped up on dorkosterone go wild over Dubya.
Marines sobered by reality quietly listen to Obama.

Don't get it twisted I'm not a big fan of Dubya, and for what it's worth the marines were standing to attention for Barry, but you can't argue that there are obviously different levels of enthusiasm there.
The (sad) truth is that Obama = Bush = Clinton = Bush when it comes to Foreign policy and Military.
For what it's worth, the military overwhelming supports Ron Paul more than pretty much any other elected leader.

Everything Obama does is heavily scripted. The Politico just ran a piece on how he is still speaking with teleprompters, and it's awkward to film him because just out of view of the cameras, is an entire support apparatus.
