I see everywhere you can't direct link on the search network, but I have searched the forum and can't find anything about the content network. Can you direct link on the content network on google? thank u

After any redirects the display URL has to match the domain of the final landing page. I think that is the only requirement. Why don't you just test it and see?

because i don't want to get slapped. so as long as my display url is the offer's url I am fine and google wont slap me?

You should be ok. Just realize that the G can slap you at any time for any reason.

There was a good post a few months back about establishing new accounts.

awesome so it isn't against the TOS? I've been reading them and that is what it sounds like. i am aware the big G can be shitty in terms of banning people for no reason, but I just wanted to make sure it didn't directly violate the rules by direct linking like it does on the search network.

any ideas why they would allow it on the content network versus the search network? seems if they technically allow it on the content network (provided your display url is right) they should also allow it on the search network. maybe i'm missing something obvious though

I haven't used G in ages, but I'd say you might want to call them. Earlier this year they had a number for AdWords customers. Not sure they'll provide a clear answer, but at least it's from the source.

As far as direct linking, they generally are not particularly pleased with affiliate links. If you have your own offer, or can collect data on your own (i.e. hosting a form on your page), you might have an advantage.

They have phone number but you are required to enter account number and they will tell you if you are allowed to call or not.

You can direct link on content not against TOS but... if the site has shitty content or doesnt follow their TOS like 90% CB offers your account will get slapped.

Also, google only wants one person promoting a site. Meaning if is an affiliate product and multiple people direct link good chance of site getting shut down and your account getting slapped for it. Even if you dont own site google will slap you for promoting crappy stuff.

Hope that helps

Cool thank you. I just see these damn image ads all over the place and have to think it is multiple affiliates running this shit because no way in hell has this offer (relatively new) sprung up like wildfire all over, unless they have about 20 people working for them (doubtful).

It's possible they could be doing a large buy. Also, you may be seeing the banners b/c of retargeting.
