OK...I read an ebook (sorry Jon) that said you could search Craigslist "wanted" ads and promote via email to the wanting an ebay search pertaining to their want.
Cool idea....provide the wanted ad client with a link to an ebay search related ebay search page including an ebay affiliate link.
I took that to the next level by logging on to crazedlist.org and started building an email link list to folks looking for a wii, or whatever. I then sent bulk emails to that list pointing them to targeted affiliated ebay links to search pages that showed them what they were wanting.
My goal was to build a ppc advertising budget for future use. I successfully raised about $500 in the bank, not just from ebay, but other affiliate links. CJ temporarily shut my ass down(craigslist spamming), but I eventually banked the money.
My question is....should I use this money for ppc or invest $300 in an SBI type solution? I like the idea of putting together content sites (build, profit, rinse, repeat)
